When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 349

If she felt they didn't, she wouldn't bother.

On the way back, Henrietta was genuinely starving, and the thought of having dinner as soon as she got to Elysium Manor made her quite happy.

This must be the feeling of coming home.

When she arrived at Elysium Manor, it was perfect timing—the kitchen had just finished preparing the meal.

As she entered the living room, a maid came forward, took her bag, and said respectfully, “Ma’am, you’re back just in time. Dinner is ready.”

Henrietta nodded, pursed her lips, and asked, “Where is Yosef?”

The maid replied, “He’s in the living room. There’s a guest.”

Henrietta slowly raised an eyebrow. A guest?

She didn’t ask any more questions and walked over as the maid took her coat and bag to put them away.

As Henrietta approached, she saw Yosef sitting in the living room, staring at a financial news report on the television.

For some reason, he looked… a little lonely and dejected.

But beside him sat a woman.

She was wearing a thin, tight-fitting black sweater that outlined her youthful figure.

Henrietta was quite surprised. Could it be… Leticia Nash?

Henrietta continued forward and saw the woman holding her phone, then saying something to Yosef.

Yosef also picked up his phone to look, and after a moment, he seemed to freeze entirely.

Henrietta had just reached the edge of the sofa.

A maid happened to come over just then and said respectfully, “Sir, Ma’am, dinner is served.”

Yosef looked up and saw Henrietta.

The other woman also turned her head.

Henrietta was even more shocked. It was… Britney…

But Henrietta remained calm on the surface, saying nothing.

It was Britney who smiled and greeted her warmly, “Henrietta.”

Only then did Henrietta nod, unsure of what to say.

After a two-second silence, she managed, “Welcome.”

Yosef didn't speak.

And Henrietta had even less to say.

She had no idea what she was supposed to say. She was still in a bit of a daze.

After a moment, Henrietta looked at her. “So… you came here specifically for the dessert?”

Britney laughed. “Is that a problem, Ms. Sargent?”

Henrietta looked at her. “Of course not. You can have as much as you want. We can even have the kitchen make extra for you to take home.”

Britney’s smile widened. “Ms. Sargent is truly generous. What if I came by every day for a meal?”

Henrietta remained perfectly calm. “Then… you’d be more than welcome.”

“Haha,” Britney laughed. “Alright. Then I’ll come by whenever I have a craving.”

Henrietta said no more and focused on her food.

Yosef remained silent throughout their exchange.

After a few bites, Britney started a video call. When the call connected, a man’s face appeared on the screen.
