When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 350

He greeted her, “Britney.”

Britney chatted with him casually, showing him the food and mentioning Yosef and Henrietta.

She even introduced him to Henrietta as a former classmate of hers.

Henrietta understood now. So, they were putting on a show, and they'd brought the act home.

Thank goodness she hadn’t shown any hostility toward Britney or questioned why she was at Elysium Manor.

That would have been a real loss of composure.

After a bit of chatting, Britney handed the phone to Yosef.

Yosef then spoke with this former classmate for a while, the gist of it being that he wanted to recruit him to come back to the country.

The man said he would consider it seriously, then chatted with Britney for a few more moments before hanging up.

After the call ended, Britney said, “We should aim for before the new year, right?”

Yosef replied, “The sooner, the better.”

Britney nodded. “Right.”

After a few more bites, Britney put down her utensils, said she was full, and that she had to leave.

But the dessert hadn’t been served yet.

Henrietta asked, “You’re not waiting for dessert?”

Britney smiled. “No, I’m not.”

Then, as if struck by a sudden idea, she looked at Yosef. “Yosef, why don’t you have your kitchen send it over to my house when it's ready?”

To this, Yosef nodded. “Alright.”

Only then did Britney turn to Henrietta. “Well, Ms. Sargent, I’ll be going now.”

Henrietta nodded.

Britney left.

Henrietta’s appetite was suddenly cut in half.

But she told herself she couldn’t be upset. This “rescue” mission was something that had to be done.

So… Britney and Yosef would inevitably be tied together.

As for Britney asking Yosef to have the kitchen send dessert to the Leland family home…

That… was also easy to explain.

Britney was now Yosef’s business partner, his friend, his ex-girlfriend.

The history, the connection—it was all his.

In any case… that secret research institute was built right next to the CEO’s office at Y-N Group…

Henrietta wondered, if… he truly did regret it.

Then… should she… graciously let him go and wish them well?

Henrietta’s mind raced for a while, but she decided to stop overthinking and just go with the flow.

She would just deal with things as they came.

After washing up, she got into bed and started watching a show on her phone.

Yosef returned to the bedroom, washed up, and got into bed as well.

As soon as he got into bed, he handed his phone to Henrietta.

Henrietta took it, puzzled, and then froze.

On the screen was a photo.

It was a picture of Quinton staring intently at her in the bridal shop.

Even in the photo, the deep affection and love in Quinton's gaze were unmistakable.

Henrietta frowned slightly and swiped down.

More photos of her and Quinton.
