When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 363

Matteo opened his mouth to explain.

But Artina was quick on the draw. "Is that a problem, Winona?"

She then looked at Henrietta. "Ms. Sargent, the company doesn't have a rule against artists dating each other, does it?"

In an era where manufacturing fake couples was all the rage, an actual relationship was a surefire way to boost their follower count.

"There's no such rule. If you want to date, be my guest," Henrietta said smoothly. "But remember, you don't just have fans who ship you together; you have solo fans too. Think it through carefully."

Artina remained silent.

Winona couldn't resist throwing another jab. "You claimed to be just coworkers before. Things moved pretty fast, didn't they?"

Artina still didn't say a word.

Perhaps remembering that her future was still in Henrietta's hands, she chose to swallow her pride for the moment.

She truly didn't have the leverage to go up against Henrietta right now.

Matteo finally spoke, looking at Henrietta. "You came to see me."

There was a loaded tone in his voice, but the exact meaning was open to interpretation.

Henrietta waved the folder in her hand and tossed it onto the hospital bed. "You'll be discharged in a week and can start working immediately. Here's your schedule."

She then turned to Artina. "Your itinerary is in there too. You start tomorrow."

While Artina and Matteo shared many joint projects, they also had solo gigs.

Artina wasn't injured, so it was high time she got back to work.

If she hadn't been constantly hauled in by the police for questioning, her schedule would have been packed a long time ago.

Having said her piece, Henrietta turned on her heel to leave.

Matteo was stunned and blurted out, "Hen... Ms. Sargent, you came all this way just to tell me that?"

Henrietta looked back over her shoulder. "What else would I be here for?"

"I thought you came specifically to check on me," Matteo said, his voice laced with misery.

Henrietta completely ignored him, turning back around and walking away. Her departure was swift, radiating a chilling indifference.

Matteo's eyes grew red.

He had never imagined things between him and Henrietta would reach such a point of ruthless finality.

A tangled mess of bitter emotions churned in his chest.

Henrietta and Winona reached the parking lot by the street.

Out of nowhere, five or six burly thugs jumped out, blocking their path.

They looked exactly like the sleazy criminals they were.

Both women froze.

Before they could react, the sleazy ringleader stroked his chin. "Hey gorgeous, come have some fun with us. We'll buy you dinner, and then we can hit up a club."

Henrietta immediately pulled out her phone, but the creep snatched it away in a flash. "Whoa, what's a pretty thing like you trying to do?"

Winona, meanwhile, had already been grabbed by two of the men.

Henrietta kept her cool. "Are you really this arrogant in broad daylight? What do you want?"

"We don't want much," the creep smirked. "Just some drinks, a little dancing, and a nice chat. I had my eye on you two the moment you parked."
