At least, that was the scene Henrietta witnessed when she looked over.
Joaquin released Winona and glared at Henrietta, his expression dark as thunder.
But before he could step forward, Aster slumped weakly against Henrietta, murmuring, "Henrietta, my head is spinning."
True to his word, his eyes rolled back, and he passed out cold.
Henrietta struggled to support his weight and yelled at Joaquin, "Help your brother!"
Joaquin strode over, slung one of Aster's arms over his shoulder, and half-dragged him toward the hospital.
Luckily, they were right next to the building.
Joaquin's bodyguards would naturally handle the aftermath in the parking lot.
Henrietta and Winona hurried after them.
Aster's blood stained Henrietta's shoulder.
Winona squeezed her hand. "Are you alright, Henrietta?"
Henrietta shook her head. "I'm fine."
Inside the hospital, after a frantic rush, they learned Aster's head wound required two stitches.
They ran a CT scan and all the necessary tests.
But he needed to stay for a week of observation to ensure there was no lasting damage.
A hit like that guaranteed a mild concussion.
So... the hospital stay was absolutely necessary.
The facility was a top-tier hospital in the bustling heart of Juno City, boasting an excellent reputation.
There was no shortage of VIP suites.
Henrietta considered the situation and offered, "Why don't we transfer him to Jethro's hospital? His facilities are better, and he... is a highly respected neurologist."
Her emotions were in a tangled mess after what had happened.
She desperately wanted to do something to make up for it.
Offering this transfer was the best she could think of.
She wanted to provide the absolute best care she could.
With that in mind, Henrietta looked at Joaquin. "Why were you guys even there?"
"We were running an errand and just happened to bump into you," Joaquin replied.
Henrietta wanted to question how convenient that coincidence was.
But... she bit her tongue.
What if they really did just happen to save her?
Voicing her suspicions would sound incredibly ungrateful.
She was probably just paranoid after Matteo and Artina's calculated "rescue."
Now, her immediate instinct was to suspect everyone's motives.
Joaquin's phone rang. He answered it, listened for a moment, and said, "Alright, I'll head over."
Hanging up, Joaquin explained, "My bodyguards took that guy to the police station, so I need to go down there. You two will need to come as well. However..."
He glanced at Aster. "Aster can't be left alone here. I'll go first and have the police come here to take your statements."
"Okay," Henrietta nodded, then quickly added, "Do you want to transfer him? I can call Jethro right now. We could... move him immediately."
