That was naturally a great suggestion.
Jethro Nash was an internationally renowned neurosurgeon.
It was Henrietta's way of expressing her sincerity and gratitude.
Joaquin thought for a moment before saying, "This happened in this jurisdiction. Shouldn't we at least wait until the police finalize the case before transferring him?"
Henrietta nodded. "Okay."
Joaquin nodded in agreement. "I'll head over first, then."
Once Joaquin left, a groggy Aster looked at Henrietta. He offered a somewhat silly smile and said, "Henrietta, I'm so glad I managed to save you. My head is killing me."
As he spoke, he put on a pitiful expression, his eyes narrowing and his brow furrowing.
He even had the audacity to reach out and grab Henrietta's hand, whining, "Henrietta, stay with me."
Startled, Henrietta flinched and quickly pulled her hand away. "I can stay, but don't grab me. It's inappropriate. I'm married."
Aster chuckled, his smile incredibly charming. "I don't care."
Henrietta was speechless for a moment. "I care! Get some rest and stop talking for now."
Perhaps he really was in a lot of pain, as he obediently closed his eyes.
The IV drip likely contained a sedative, helping him rest.
Within minutes, he seemed to have fallen asleep.
Henrietta adjusted his blankets anyway, then looked over at Winona.
Winona lowered her voice. "Is he asleep? Should we step outside?"
Henrietta nodded.
The two of them quietly left the hospital room.
Henrietta let out a long breath, a mix of a sigh and sheer exhaustion.
Winona remained quiet as well.
She pulled Henrietta over to a nearby waiting chair and they sat down.
After a moment of silence, Winona sighed heavily. "I never expected... something like this to happen. It really makes dealing with those two brothers... so much more complicated."
Henrietta frowned slightly and nodded. "Yeah."
Originally, she had already felt a deep aversion to Joaquin.
She never expected him to step in and help her.
They barely knew each other and had only met a handful of times.
Aster hadn't come to the office to bother her, yet he had suddenly appeared out of nowhere to save her.
That strike from the club wouldn't have been fatal.
So strictly speaking, she didn't owe him her life.
But... he had still protected her.
It was still a debt of gratitude.
Yet he had the audacity to boldly hold her hand just now.
Even Joaquin had never dared to do that.
It was severely crossing the line.
Therefore, this man was equally complicated.
If she simply needed to express her gratitude, Henrietta could cover all his medical expenses.
If millions of dollars in compensation wasn't enough, she could offer more.
But... Aster didn't seem to want money.
