Most importantly, there was another awkward, delicate, and hard-to-explain detail.
Namely... these two men were Britney's brothers.
Britney was already a sore subject for her, one she had been actively avoiding.
Now... she was entangled with her family.
It was an absolute headache.
Just then, Henrietta's phone rang.
She picked it up and saw it was Yosef calling.
Henrietta checked the time and realized it was well past the end of the workday.
Had Yosef gone to her office to pick her up?
Henrietta answered the call.
Yosef's voice came through. "Henrietta, why aren't you at the office?"
"Are you at my office?" Henrietta asked.
"Yes," Yosef replied.
Henrietta took a deep breath. "I'm at the hospital."
Yosef paused for a second before urgently asking, "What happened? Are you hurt? Which hospital, I'm on my way."
Henrietta gave him the name of the hospital and quickly recounted the incident.
Sitting in his car, Yosef's expression turned intensely dark. "I'll be right there."
By the time Yosef reached the hallway outside the hospital room, Winona and Henrietta were still sitting there.
Yosef strode over, pulled Henrietta to her feet, and quickly inspected her for injuries. He then turned to Calvert and ordered, "Have someone from Elysium Manor bring a jacket for my wife."
Calvert nodded. "Right away."
"Where is the Leland boy?" Yosef asked.
Henrietta pointed to the door. "In the room. He should still be sleeping."
Yosef frowned slightly.
Having finished his call, Calvert stepped forward. "Mr. Nash, it's been taken care of."
Yosef nodded, his face hardening. "Look into this."
"Understood." Calvert nodded and immediately stepped aside to make another call.
Henrietta looked at her husband. "Do you think this was another orchestrated stunt to win sympathy?"
Yosef replied with cool rationality, "I wouldn't rule it out. It's best to investigate."
She shouldn't overstep.
Besides, she didn't want to escalate things either.
Winona rephrased, "He just says nasty things. He's got a really foul mouth sometimes."
Yosef looked back at Henrietta. "Is that so? Then I'll... have a little chat with him later."
Henrietta thought for a second. "Can I... come with you?"
Yosef paused, then agreed. "Alright."
Right at that moment, Joaquin returned, closely followed by two police officers.
Both Henrietta and Winona needed to give their statements.
Aster was still unconscious, so his statement would have to wait until he woke up.
However, strictly speaking, the incident wasn't considered incredibly severe.
Therefore, Aster could give his statement the next day without issue.
Henrietta and Winona were led away to speak with the officers.
Joaquin walked up to Yosef, greeting him with polite, deliberate respect. "Mr. Nash, it's been a while."
