Thora grabbed his hand and asked hoarsely, “What are you thinking about?”

Darius smiled and leaned down, brushing a soft kiss over her lips. “You.”

Heat rushed to her ears, and her heart started racing.

Seeing her reaction, Darius took the chance to roll over and press her down beneath him.

Thora frowned a little, clearly unhappy, but she didn’t stop him.

Looking straight at him, she felt the solid pressure against her stomach. Knowing he was holding back, she smiled. “You like it?”

Darius glanced down, raised an eyebrow, and then dropped into her arms, his “Yeah. Too bad … I can’t do what I really want to.”

eyes shining.

He had to wait for their bonding ceremony, when they would walk out of the altar together under the elders’ witness. Only then could he mark her and fully claim her.

He refused to taint the girl he loved before that day.

After meeting Thora, Darius finally understood how pure real love could be. He wouldn’t allow even the smallest regret to touch her.

“Then what are you doing now?” Thora asked, raising an eyebrow teasingly.

Darius answered shamelessly, completely straight-faced.

“Just getting some exercise. It’s good for you.”

Thora didn’t respond. She slowly started counting, “One, two-”

His instincts kicked in instantly. He scrambled off her at once, even though his face stayed tight and his posture stiff.

He would never admit he was scared of his mate. In his mind, it was just playful flirting.

teased him until he lost control.

Her gaze drifted without thinking to the bulge in his pants, and the corner of her lips lifted

Catching her stare, Darius felt the urge to tease her back. Leaning on the wall, he asked, “Thora, like what you see?”

Her expression turned cold at once. She let out a short laugh. “You don’t know if a gun is good until you test-fire it a few times. The same goes for how easy it is to use.”

Darius’s smile froze. Deep down, He made a silent vow to ask her plainly later-whether she favored real guns, or his own “gun”.

Meanwhile, the metal doors on the 66th floor of the Data Building slid open. Lance walked in openly, holding a special student ID.

He lazily flipped the card between his fingers, stopped in front of a restricted-access computer, and swiped it.

His pale fingers flew over the keyboard, but the final clearance wouldn’t budge. He could only see what matched his current access level.

Anything more was out of reach.

He slid a chip into the slot, trying to copy what he could. A warning flashed on the screen immediately.

Just then, the metal doors opened again, and Adrian stepped inside.

Lance calmly pulled the chip back out, tapped the keyboard twice, and every window vanished.

He stood up and looked at Adrian, giving a polite nod. “Hello.”

Adrian didn’t answer. His eyes shifted from Lance to the computer.
