Chapter 440 Physical Condition

Thora looked confused. “Huh? Nothing is going on.”

At that moment, Mike walked over. Taking in the scene, he slowed down and smiled with narrowed eyes. “Hey there!”

His

gaze went straight to Shirley as he greeted her warmly, “Hello, Shirley.”

Having spent a lot of time with Mike lately, Shirley immediately responded sweetly, “Hello, Mike.”

He stepped closer, gently messed up her hair, and handed her a lollipop.

Darius’s eyebrow twitched. Mike wasn’t involved with Thora, so he wasn’t a problem.

After settling Shirley, Mike turned to Thora, sounding serious. “Thora, I’ll be straight with you. Roxen really cares about you. The one who brought you bedding at the start of the semester wasn’t me. He asked me to pass it along. He’s been quietly looking after you all this time. You should at least give him some kind of response. Even if his background means he might have to accept a family match after graduation, I know him better than anyone. He’d give all of that up for you! Thora, you can’t be that cold!”

Mike played matchmaker for Thora and Roxen, spinning one story after another without missing a beat. When he was done, he gave Thora a serious nod and swaggered off.

He left everyone standing there, totally stunned.

Luke took a deep breath, stepping back and pulling Shirley with him. His sense of danger only got worse.

Thora blinked, still trying to figure out what Mike had just meant.

Darius, meanwhile, looked terrifying. His presence dropped to freezing levels.

“Thora!” Another student ran over. One look at Darius’s dark face scared him stiff. He didn’t dare get closer and shouted from a distance, “Thora, Adrian said he’s waiting for you in the library. He has something he wants to… discuss with you!”

The words were barely out before he ran off.

“Adrian? Roxen? And that Mona?” Darius muttered each name through clenched teeth. He lowered his voice, barely holding back his anger. “Thora, just how many people are interested in you?”

Luke quickly tugged Shirley’s sleeve. “Shirley, let’s go do extra training on the field. This isn’t

something we should be watching.”

Shirley nodded blankly. “O-okay.”

The two of them made an excuse and hurried off.

Seeing Tristan still standing there, Shirley ran back and dragged him along. “Why are you still staring? Trying to enjoy the drama?”

Tristan was pulled off unwillingly. He did want to watch, and he was even hoping their boss would overpower Darius.

Not far away, Ryan also quietly slipped off.

Thora looked at Darius, completely confused. “What’s wrong?”

She honestly didn’t understand why he was angry, or why everyone suddenly ran away.

Seeing her innocent expression, Darius felt most of his anger fade.

He knew that arguing or trying to explain feelings to Thora would be pointless. Leading her another way was simpler.

He placed both hands on her shoulders and spoke seriously, “Thora.”

Sensing he was about to say something important, Thora straightened and focused at once.

“You need to be extra cautious around people who show interest in you,” Darius said firmly. “Don’t let them get too close. Given your current status, spies or agents may be watching. You can’t lower your guard.”

Thora’s eyes sharpened, and she nodded firmly. “I understand.”

Jeremy’s case had already been a warning. If she hadn’t noticed the tranquilizer darts, she might not have caught that mole in time. And the people targeting her were clearly not ordinary.

Darius smiled in satisfaction.

Sometimes, having a partner who was emotionally simple and pure made things easier to guide. That wasn’t a bad thing.

After that, he naturally followed Thora back to her dorm building.

Thora was already used to Darius forcing his way into staying over, so she didn’t argue.

Darius lounged lazily on the couch, looking like a carefree playboy. Yet his eyes never left
