Wolfless? No! Call Me Alpha Commander! novel Chapter 515

Chapter 515 The Truth

Thora frowned slightly. Darius looked at her with complete seriousness.

She turned her head and looked straight ahead, her tone just as steady. “Whether he shows up or not doesn really make a difference to me.”

She didn’t understand why Darius would ask that question. To her, it had never been complicated.

She had always gone with the flow. When something happened, she dealt with it. She never wasted time thinking about what she “hoped” for. That was meaningless.

But Darius was different. He held a place in her life that no one else did.

Thora’s answer seemed to be exactly what Darius had expected.

He knew her too well. He understood how her mind worked.

The curve of his lips slowly faded, and a trace of gloom filled his eyes. “Ever since he appeared, I’ve been worried. Would you accept someone like me? A body with two people living inside it. And… What if he replaces me one day? Thora, what would you do?”

After Draven had shown up several times, that was what Darius feared most.

For the first time in his life, the always-confident Darius felt afraid that once Thora knew everything, she would leave him. He was afraid that he was too dangerous and too unfair to her.

But that fear couldn’t overpower the stubborn desire in his heart and the bond that felt like fate itself. He wanted her. He wanted to keep her by his side. Even if he had to fight Draven with everything he had, he would.

He lowered his eyes and waited for her answer. Suddenly, a shadow fell in front of him.

He looked up to see that Thora had stood up at some point and was now standing where he had been, as if they had switched positions.

“Thora?” Darius looked at her, confused.

“I’ll wait for you.” Her voice was firm, like a steadying anchor that drove away all his worries.

Her expression was serious. “My mate is only Darius. If you need me, I’ll help you.”

There were no sweet words, yet it was more touching than any love talk. It was her way of saying yes to him. She was acknowledging his one and only mate status, sealing the deepest loyalty and bond between them.

Darius looked up at her and smiled. The gloom in his eyes was gone, replaced by pure joy and something he treasured deeply.

A sudden breeze swept past. The rustling wind mixed with golden leaves swirling through the air, forming a breathtaking scene above them.

Thora lifted her gaze. The wind messed up her bangs slightly. Golden leaves fell like soft rain, reflecting in her eyes like thousands of tiny stars.

“Thora.”

“Mm?”

“I still owe you a bonding ceremony.” Darius’ voice was serious and almost sacred. “I’ll give you

ceremony.”

“Okay.”

“I’ll wait for you to graduate. I’ll wait for you… to come back.”

Thora didn’t answer. She only watched the golden rain falling from the sky, a faint but real smile slowly rising on her lips.

Their conversation, carried by the wind and drifting leaves, quietly carved itself into their hearts. Like this beautiful moment, it was forever kept in memory.

Yereah was surprised to see Thora. Not because she showed up, but because she came to him alone.

He looked her up and down. “You seem to have recovered pretty well.”

Thora nodded politely. “Hello, Dr. Hovland.”

Yereah purposely glanced behind her and teased, “Where’s Mr. Blackwood? If he finds out you came to see me alone, I won’t have an easy time.”

Thora frowned slightly and replied coolly, “He went to handle matters with the counterfeit syndicate.”

Yereah grinned. He was only joking anyway. He didn’t really care about Darius’ whereabouts.

He gestured to a seat. “Sit. You didn’t come just to greet me, right?”

Thora didn’t sit. She went straight to the point. “I want to ask about Darius and Draven.”

Yereah raised an eyebrow. “You’re asking me? Didn’t he tell you everything?”

“He did. But I feel like it wasn’t complete. Some parts don’t add up. I’ll only ask two things. Just answer honestly.”

Her tone was firm, leaving no room to refuse.

Not that Yereah felt the need to.

“If I know, I’ll tell you.”

Anyone could see how Darius treated Thora.

There was nothing to hide from her.

“First, why did Draven appear?”

Yereah’s eyes darkened slightly. He spoke slowly, “You know about his childhood playmate, Raven, right? When the Blackwoods were attacked, Raven, along with the servants and bodyguards, all died. Darius always said Draven killed them. But the truth is-he was the one who did it.”
