Chapter 146 Amelia’s Wisdom
“I don’t do leftovers.”
“Amelia, just come home with me.”
“Stella, how do you deal with someone who has no shame?”
Stella blinked, answering seriously, “Keep slapping until they learn.”
“Well, since you’re sick, I’ll help you out. Free of charge.”
“Slap. Slap. Slap.”
Amelia drove off, leaving Jaron standing there with a face swollen like a beach ball.
“Amelia… are you okay?”
Amelia paused for a second, then broke into a huge smile.
“You didn’t think I was still in love with him, did you?”
She shook her head.
“I don’t allow stains in my life. If something leaves a mark, I throw it out. He’s the stain.
“Look at me now. Since I left him, my life’s been pretty great, hasn’t it?
“Love? That’s long gone.”
Amelia pulled the car over and reached over to pat Stella’s head.
Honestly, Stella still wasn’t used to it–lately everyone wanted to pat her head–but she didn’t mind.
“Stella, the person you should love most in this world is yourself. Make yourself happy. Anything that doesn’t bring you joy? Walk away. Don’t look back.”
“Okay”
Stella looked at her and felt a small ache in her chest.
If her mom were still alive, would she be this bold and radiant too?
The next day.
Felix pushed himself to leave the hospital. He insisted on going back to Moore Manor.
Leo had just gotten out of surgery and could barely speak, so he had his assistant drive Felix home.

Felix stood there, looking completely drained.
The laughter, the memories–they all felt like yesterday.
Now his wife was gone. Both his sons looked at him like he was poison.
He closed his eyes. This was where it had all led.
The only thing left to do was cut out the rot.
“Dad, you left the hospital? Why didn’t you call me? I would have picked you up!”
Amber helped him inside.
Sienna hurried over with a cup of water. “Grandpa.”
“Butler.”
“Yes, sir.”
Felix’s eyes were cold, his voice steady. “Pack up all their things. From now on, Amber and Sienna have nothing to do with this family.”
Amber’s face went white. She dropped to the floor.
“Dad… you’re kicking me out?”
“From now on, you don’t use the Moore name. You don’t tell anyone you’re a Moore.”
“Dad, please. Don’t do this. I’m begging you.”
Amber grabbed his leg, sobbing.
With her mother’s condition–even if she survived, she’d probably be bedridden–Felix was her only lifeline.
“Get out!”
“Dad, I was wrong. I won’t make you angry again. I’ll do whatever you say. Just don’t throw me out.”
“Grandpa, Michelle did all of this. Not me. Not Mom. After everything, after decades together, you’re really going to do this to us?”
Sienna grabbed his other leg, crying her eyes out.
Moore Group was gone. But staying with the family, keeping her status–that was her best move right now
“What are you all waiting for? Throw them out!”
Felix’s head was spinning. He felt like he might pass out any second.
“Dad, this is my home!”

“Grandpa, please. Please let us stay.”
Felix didn’t move.
“Mr. Moore. Their things are packed.”
“Then what are you waiting for? Get them out.”
Bags of clothes landed at Amber and Sienna’s feet.
Just clothes. Nothing else.
Amber stared. “Dad… you want us to starve?”
“The Moores have fed you for decades. I’m not asking for that money back. That’s more than you deserve.”
“You’re really going to do this to me?”
“Get out!”
“Dad. I’ll give you one more chance. If you kick me out, I’ll tell Jasper what really happened back then.
“He’ll never forgive you.”
Felix went pale. Of course. Of course this was how she’d repay him.
“Dad.”
“Slap.”
Felix put everything he had into it.
Amber’s head snapped to the side. Her ears rang.
