The Jinn’s Group building was basking in the early morning sun.

Jake pushed open the door and went into the president’s office. He saw Shayne leaning his head on one of his hands while he scribbled something on a paper using a pen with the other hand.

Shayne was immersed in his thoughts. He did not even notice Jake’s presence.

Jake approached Shayne quietly and stole a glance at Shayne’s notebook.

Do you know that… you look kind of cute… when you don’t… go against me…?

What the heck was that?

Confused and skeptical, Jake frowned in confusion after silently reading the sentence.

Why was Master Shayne acting more and more strange lately?

Jake let out a slight cough, “Master Shayne?”

It was only then that Shayne came back to his senses. He lifted his head and said, “Yes?”

“The meeting will be starting soon.”

Shayne replied to him absent-mindedly. He coughed into his fist and asked Jake with a serious face, “What do you think this means?”

Jake took the notebook from his hands and looked at the sentence on the paper. He asked curiously, “Master Shayne, which lady said this to you?”

Shayne swiftly replied, “It’s a guy.”

Jake choked slightly but managed to hold back his laughter. He started analyzing the sentence solemnly as he said, “If a man said something like this to you, he’s most probably gay.”

Shayne furrowed his brows. It was pretty obvious he looked uncomfortable.

“If a girl said something like that to you, she most probably has a crush on you or she might say this to you because you did something to offend her. There are two meanings behind the word cute. You can use it to describe a thing or a person who is pure and beautiful, or you can use it to say that someone or something is lovable.”

A dark gaze flashed across Shayne’s eyes. “You mean she has a crush on me and I’m cute to her?”

“Master Shayne, who wrote this to you? Could it be… Ms. Yanny?”

Shayne frowned and snatched the book away from Jake. He snapped the book shut and scolded him, “Jake, why didn’t I realize that you love gossiping so much? How dare you simply pry into your boss’s personal life?”

Jake thought to himself, ‘Such a nice guy. He literally abandoned me after using me.’

Shayne got up and walked toward the meeting room happily.

He reminded Jake as he arrived at his office door, “By the way, let Yanny continue her promotions."

Jake was speechless.

He wanted to stop Yanny’s promotions yesterday, but he changed his mind a day later.

People would think he was crazy!

Jake answered respectfully, “Yes, Master Shayne.”

Jake thought to himself, ‘You’re excited just because she said you’re cute. What a gullible guy.’

“By the way, Master Shayne, the Jacobs will send someone here today to sign the contract. Will you receive them personally?”

Shayne’s eyes darkened slightly as he thought of how the Jacobs blackmailed Yanny for five million bucks. He said, “Bring Winson straight to my office after he arrives.”

“Alright.”

Winson brought Cara along when he came to sign the contract in the afternoon.

Winson started currying favor with Shayne as soon as he saw him. He was all smiles, “Master Shayne, it’s such an honor to be able to work with Jinn Group. This is something that I never dared to dream about.”

Cara stood behind Winson. Her heart was fluttering as she glanced shyly at Shayne.

Shayne said calmly, “Old Master Jacob, why did you bring your daughter along on a business talk? Are you planning to discuss your daughter’s marriage whenever you have the chance?”

Winson was slightly stunned. He smiled awkwardly as he said, “I’m here to sign the contract with you today, but Cara kept complaining that it’s been a long time since she last saw you and she misses you. Thus, I had no choice but to bring her along to see you.”

“I wouldn’t dare to make Ms. Cara miss me.” Shayne’s face was expressionless as he said that, neither did he cast a glance at Cara.

Cara bit her lips and looked at Winson. Winson could sense Shayne’s displeasure. He said to Cara in a soft voice, “Cara, Master Shayne and I will be having a business talk. Can you wait outside?”

Cara was not happy about it, but she was worried she would mess things up. Hence, she listened to her father and exited the office.

Shayne simply glanced through the contract as soon as the door closed. He went straight to the point and said, “I can sign this contract, but on one condition.”

Winson was slightly taken aback. He never imagined Master Shayne would suddenly revise the contract. However, he could accept any condition as long as it was not too over the top since he was working with Jinn Group.

“Master Shayne, please speak freely.”

“The Jacobs cannot blackmail Yanny under any name and the Jacobs will have nothing to do with Yanny from now on.”
