Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1092

Yanny rested her head on Shayne’s chest after the steamy session. She stared at the crystal chandelier on the ceiling and let Shayne caress her long hair.

Shayne’s movements were very gentle, so gentle that Yanny could not help but to close her eyes slightly. She turned over in his embrace and wrapped her arms around his waist.

She was being very clingy.

Shayne lowered his head and pressed a kiss on her forehead. He let out a faint laugh and said, “I thought I would never see your clingy side my whole life.”

Yanny grinned. “I used to always cling onto you.”

“Those don't count because you were just acting.”

Yanny lifted her head and placed her hands on his chest. Then, she rested her chin on her hands and looked at Shayne with her beady eyes. He could see the smile behind her eyes. “I thought you enjoyed me acting cute to please you in the past? Did you really not enjoy it?”

“I did enjoy it but it’s not the same as liking it. If you really like someone, you won’t like him or her to disguise themselves as a perfect lover.”

“But I might be a dummy who even needs to learn to be clingy and act cute.”

Shayne played with her hair on her forehead as he said, “I like you being real in front of me. Even if you look clumsy when you’re acting cute or you need to try hard to learn how to rely on me, it doesn’t affect my love for you because you’re working hard to learn how to love a person. Why would I despise that?”

Yanny had two faint dimples on her cheeks when she smiled. She looked sweet. She lied down straight and said, “Nobody in the Jacob family is on my side after my mum left. I probably desire affection yet reject it at the same time because no one ever sided with me before. I’ve always wanted Winson to side me at least once when I was young.

“However, my expectations turned into disappointment every single time and gradually, I grew up. Grown ups tend to defend themselves. Hence, when I know that I might get hurt, I’d rather live without expectations. I would even choose to reject or resist them so that I won’t get hurt.

“Despite that, a human’s nature is paradoxical. The more you resist something, the more you desire them. Sometimes, I am jealous of how Winson always sided with Cara however right or wrong. I wonder what I did wrong for Winson to treat me like that.

“At some point, I wanted to fall in love badly. I wanted to become a small and cute girl, waiting for someone to come and hug me, but I would immediately forget about it as soon as it appeared in my mind. I always thought it would never happen. Nobody will ever love me or side with me.

“I don’t even know how to naturally act cute. I simply can’t do it. I’ve subconsciously relied on myself for so many years and it has become a habit that cannot be changed. I envy girls who can express their pain easily. I don’t have the ability to love other people.”

Shayne looked at her red eyes and gently wiped the corner of her eyes with his fingers. His deep and warm voice seeped into her ears as he said, “I will always side you in the future. Even if you made a mistake, I will always be on your side and love you. Also, I will help you regain the ability to love again.”

Yanny looked at him with her calm yet fragile eyes. “Shayne, I will become dependent on you if you keep treating me like that. I want to rely on someone but I’m afraid that the person I rely on will leave me at any time. It’s like a wall that will collapse at any time.”

Shayne gave her a back-hug. His chest stuck close to her slender back as he whispered word by word into her ear, “I swear this wall right here will never collapse.”

Shayne never gave a sh*t about promises, but whenever it came to Yanny, he always wanted to fulfil his promises to her.

Yanny turned around and buried her face into his chest. She hugged his neck tightly.

In fact, one did not need to put much effort to make a person who lived deep in the darkness and suffered for the past 20 years be happy again. He or she would be happy even if you were slightly nice to them.

She thought people like that never existed. She thought nobody would pity her at times when she needed help. Her eyes were filled with hope and was already impressed by Shayne before he could do anything to help her.

Yanny lifted her head to look at Shayne as she asked, “Shayne, why do you like me?”

It was midnight when Shayne’s phone rang and he saw an unfamiliar number.
