Linda naturally saw those rumors online as well. She grabbed her phone and barged into her daughter’s room angrily. She questioned her, “Cara, how did Yanny become Shayne’s official girlfriend? I told the other Jacobs that you’re Shayne’s fiancé!”

Cara was so angry she started to tear up. She leaned on her study table in despair and shouted angrily, “Mum, stop talking about it! I’m already distressed! Why does Yanny like to steal my stuff away? She even stole my husband!”

Seeing her daughter crying, Lina approached her and pulled her up. She lectured her unhappily, “Get up, why are you crying? Do you think the Jinn family can see you crying here? Do you think the Jinn family will let Shayne go for sleeping around with girls and creating such a mess online? Old Master Jinn was the one who agreed to this marriage. I believe Shayne will not dare to act up in front of his grandfather no matter how fearless he is.”

Cara cried as she asked, “Mum, what should I do now?”

“Since Shayne is your fiancé, he is at fault for cheating on you. We need to visit the Jinn family and sort this matter out with the old master! Stop crying now. Even if you want to cry, do it in front of Old Master Jinn! Yanny is such a b*tch. I want to see how she is going to act up in front of Old Master Jinn!”

Cara wiped her tears dry and said, “Mum, I’ll stop crying. Let’s go to the Jinn family mansion. Mum, I must marry Master Shayne. It has to be Master Shayne. I can’t let Yanny take him away!”

Lina brought Cara to the Jinn family mansion. They started complaining as soon as they saw the old master.

“Old Master Jinn, you were the one who approved of this marriage back then. What should Cara do now since Master Shayne has another girlfriend?” Lina pretended to wipe her tears away as she complained to Old Master Jinn.

Old Master Jinn was furious as well. He never imagined that Shayne’s private life was so messed up. Everybody in North City was gossiping about him right now. He sighed and said, “It was indeed Shayne’s fault this time. I am the one to blame for this. I’ll ask him to come back right away to set things straight.”

Cara cried and said to Old Master Jinn with an aggrieved tone, “Grandpa Jinn, I’m afraid Master Shayne would think that I’m using you to threaten him if you ask him to come back right now. He will dislike me more. Grandpa Jinn, I really don’t want to lose Master Shayne.”

Charles felt guilty upon hearing what that little girl said. He said, “This bastard had the guts to sleep around with girls. I’ll teach him a lesson! He won’t dare to say another word! I’ll break his legs if he dares to blame you!”

Cara smirked when she lowered her head to wipe her tears away.

Morning arrived. Yanny woke up and made breakfast.

Shayne was still in bed.

Shayne’s phone, which was placed next to his bed, rang right when Yanny went to wake him up.

Yanny picked up the phone and took a glance at the caller ID. It was a landline. It must be Shayne’s grandfather or Samantha.

“Master Shayne, your phone is ringing. Hurry up and get it.”

Shayne felt too comfortable in bed. He wrapped himself in his covers, turned around and mumbled, “Just ignore it. It’ll stop ringing soon. It doesn’t matter if I don’t pick it up.”

Yanny laughed. This was not the first time Shayne acted that way. She was about to put down the phone, but it rang again.

Yanny was worried that the Jinn family had something urgent to tell Shayne, so she said, “I’ll pick the phone up for you then?”
