Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1100

Since Maria had hit a brick wall with Yanny, she obviously felt hostile toward the woman. She said, "You're nothing more than a plaything Shayne found in the spur of a moment. Miss Joy, if everyone thinks too highly of themselves, they would only end up losing everything."

Yanny chuckled calmly as she said, "You shouldn't worry about me, Miss Sanders. As long as I'm happily living my life, nothing else matters. It's just like you wanting me to do a favor for you right now, Miss Sanders. I can refuse you because I have every right to do so. As for however you want to think of me or how you're planning to mend your relationship with Shayne, that's between you and Shayne. It's completely unrelated to me. My life and my relationship with Shayne also has absolutely nothing to do with you, Miss Sanders."

This was the first time Maria has been refused to such an extent since no matter where she went, she would often be treated like a princess and very few people would refuse her needs. Even if they did, they would never refuse her as hostile as the way Yanny treated her.

Yanny could not maintain her smile as her face looked incredibly cold. She said, "No matter how much Shayne favors you now, you're nothing more than a beautiful plaything. Since you refuse to accept the lifeline I had just offered you, you can wait for Shayne to abandon you then. If you're willing to help me mend my relationship with Shayne, perhaps this can be your one and only chance to get married into the Jinn family, you know."

Maria's statement sounded very harsh and unpleasant to hear. If this was any other regular woman, they might have already been so furious and humiliated that their face would have turned red.

However, Yanny was incredibly calm, so much so that she cracked a very beautiful smile at her as she said, "Miss Sanders, this is the first time I've met a mother that is as horrible as you. You're not cursing me but you're cursing your son's future happiness. The truth is, you never cared about whether or not your son, Shayne, has lived well or is happy or not. You don't intend to make up for your past misdeeds for your son. No, all that you want is nothing more than to ease the guilt and emptiness that you feel from inside."

Initially, Yanny could not understand why she had such a bad impression toward her during their first meeting but now she understood why. The truth was, both Maria and Wilson were similar. They had both failed as someone's parents and Maria was better at being a decent person than Wilson since she knew how to put on a facade and make herself seem far greater and better than she actually was.

Yanny ignored how Maria felt after saying that as she grabbed her bag and was getting ready to leave.

Maria was so furious that her fingernails dug into her palms and the pressure of the atmosphere around her fell.

When Yanny opened the door and got out of the car, she turned around and calmly said, "You already abandoned your child back then, so why are you still trying to pretend to be really close to him now?"

Every inch of Maria's body stiffened.

Shayne rushed home from Europe two days before the spring festival. He took the night flight home.

The acacia tree that was planted in the courtyard was completely covered with snow and some branches were starting to bend.

A post that was smearing Yanny's name was suddenly posted online. It was making fun of Yanny that she was only trying to climb her way up into a wealthy family.

Spring gave Yanny a call and she told her that she wanted to contact President Jinn to suppress the post but she was stopped by Yanny.

"Yanny, you are now a celebrity in the more obscure and artistic genre and if your reputation continues to be smeared like this, you'd lose a lot of fans. We need to inform President Jinn about this and if he intervenes and completely stops these nonsensical media accounts, only then can your reputation recover, Yanny."

Yanny was sitting on the couch while wrapping herself with a blanket as she rationally said, "Even if this stops, as long as there's someone with ill intentions, this entire ordeal will be brought up again."

"But your career is booming and this attack seemed to happen so suddenly now. Not to mention, you haven’t been assigned any work lately but those media companies seem to have joined forces to smear your name. I need to have someone look into who exactly has bribed the media companies to say such nonsense. If this happens to be our competitors, we need to have President Jinn step in, you know."

Yanny asked, "Hey Spring, the truth is, those media companies can write whatever they want because to others, they think that I'm incompatible with Shayne, right?"

Spring was stunned as she said, "Oh Yanny, what are you even overthinking it for? You should be really proud to be able to date President Jinn. Look, even if you've married President Jinn already, it's not like you've been pretending to be someone that you aren’t and besides, if other people were to think that you're only dating President Jinn for your own benefits, you are the only one who is living through your own marriage. A relationship isn't only just for anyone to flaunt their love around, you know."

Since Spring was experienced with things, she clearly understood many things. However, Yanny was still a very stubborn and prideful person.

She pouted her lips and let out a light chuckle. She seemed a little helpless as she said, "Hey Spring, you think that dating Shayne is something to be proud about but why can't you make everyone else out there think that Shayne feels proud to be my boyfriend instead? I am glad that Shayne loves me, yes since I feel very lucky that we're both mutually in love with each other but I'm starting to get a little greedy in our relationship. Oh Spring, aside from us being mutually in love with each other, I also want to be Shayne's equal and stand by his side to face our enemies as well."
