Shayne had to take a trip to Europe for work a few days before the spring festival.
Initially, he planned to bring Yanny along with him but since she was not going to spend the spring festival at Lushway town, she planned to spend some private time with Shayne. Hence, she decided to invite Heather to North City a few days earlier so she could show Heather around the city. She would also be able to celebrate the new year in advance with her grandmother.
Just as Yanny and Heather exited the mansion at Blue Water Residences, a modified longer looking Lincoln was parked in front of their entrance, blocking their way.
An abnormally dressed elderly lady could be seen in the car. She looked very elegant.
As Yanny glanced over, she found the extremely well groomed lady very familiar looking but she was unable to recall where she had met her before.
The lady was wearing an oversized white wool coat. She was also dressed in a long brown dress that was knitted with the same wool. She was walking over toward Yanny in a pair of bespoke high heels.
Heather looked at Yanny as she asked, "Do you know her, Yanny?"
The lady cracked a huge warm and gentle smile on her beautiful face when she approached Yanny. She then reached out to greet Yanny, "Greetings, I am Maria Sanders, Shayne's mother."
'Maria, Shayne's biological mother.’
This was why the lady looked familiar to Yanny since Shayne's beauty slightly resembled the lady. It was not surprising for Yanny to feel that the lady looked familiar at all.
The only thing was, Yanny did not expect Shayne's mother would come looking for her nor did she know the purpose of the meeting.
Maria spoke in a polite tone, "I know that me showing up so abruptly on our first meeting is a little inappropriate but… Miss Joy, can I speak to you in private?"
Maria took a glance at Heather, signalling her to move away.
Every inch of the middle aged lady, from the tip of her hair all the way down to her feet emanated elegance. It seemed that age had been kind to her since there were very few wrinkles on her white face. Even if there were any, the wrinkles would only highlight the beauty and elegance of people her age.
It was unsure why the first impression Yanny had toward her was not a pleasant one.
The person's kind and warm demeanor felt like a facade to her.
Yanny told Heather, "Just head back in, grandma. We'll head out for a meal after I'm done with my conversation with Miss Sanders."
Heather did not say much as all she did was pat Yanny's hand, gesturing at her to behave.
After Heather returned inside, Maria's driver opened the door to the backseat of the Lincoln and said, "This way please, Miss Joy."
Maria and Yanny had their conversation in the backseat of the Lincoln.
Since Yanny was not a kind person, she would usually act arrogantly toward uninvited guests like Maria. She asked, "What do you want from me, Miss Sanders?"
