It was New Year's Eve on the second day of Yanny's return.

The instant she woke up, she took a glance at her phone and the trending topics on Twitter and all across Entertainment forums were about Shaye and her being suspicious of rekindling their love for each other

Yanny smiled after feeling victorious and just as she was about to keep her phone away, she received a call from Cindy.

"How could you not tell me about that fact that you were returning home, Yanny! You need to treat me to a huge meal for lunch later!"

Yanny replied with a laugh, "I originally wanted to inform you after a few days. I didn't expect you to call me so soon. I'll be busier these two days and will no doubt come over and annoy you all the time after I'm done with settling things over these two days."

"Dude, today is New Year's Eve! What are you even busy with during New Year's Eve? How could you spend New Year's Eve alone? My mother wants you to come over to my place so we can have a New Year's Eve dinner together!"

"I'm busy going after boys, you know."

Cindy burst out laughing and curiously asked, "Who are you going after? So the viral news about you this morning was real? You've rekindled your love for him?"

While Yanny was getting out of bed, she told Cindy through the phone, "I made someone spread the news for me but he seems to be ignoring me. Therefore, I'm planning to wait for him today."

"You should've told me sooner! How could you not inform me of such news? You wouldn't have forgotten about your own best friend now, right? I’m now officially part of the paparazzi as well! Look, if there is such big news next time, just give it to me! You're not allowed to give it to anyone else!"

Yanny was stunned and it was only then that she realized Cindy had already graduated and was officially part of the paparazzi and had gotten her permits. She told her, "I actually forgot about it. Alright, if there’s any major news that I want to go viral, you’ll be the first person I inform."

Yanny took a look at the time and realized that it was getting late so she said, "Cindy, I'll end the call here for now. I need to freshen up and scope him out now."

Yanny teased her as she said, "That's literally what I want and I hope that they catch me getting in and out of Shayne's mansion. That way, my relationship with him will be murkier than anything else and nothing could possibly make me innocent again."

As Shayne was eating breakfast by the dining table, Samatha suddenly rushed downstairs from her room and started screaming like a mad person, "Ah! Bro, bro, bro, bro! You've rekindled your love with Yanny?"

Shayne raised his brows a little and asked, "What's going on?"

Samantha handed her phone to him as she said, "Look, this literally went viral this morning and is still brewing! There are pictures and there's the truth! Big brother, have you rekindled your love with Yanny?"

Samantha was staring at Shayne with a curiously interested look on her face as she nudged Shayne with her shoulders. She seemed very interested in the whole ordeal.

However, Shayne was behaving abnormally as he questioned her back. "Do I look like someone that'll miss an ex?"

Samantha was speechless as she thought to herself, 'He's not but that’s an uncertainty when it comes to Yanny.'

Samantha sat down beside Shayne and continued to probe. "Hey, big brother. Are you really not planning to reconcile with her after her return?"

"Children should stay out of adult matters."

After Shayne had only half-eaten his breakfast, he got up and headed outside the house.

After she took a bite of her ham, Samantha asked, "Big brother, where are you going for New Year's Eve today?"

"I'll have the reunion dinner with grandpa later today. It's broad daylight now, who likes to stay at home all day? I have a meetup to attend so I'll head out for fun now."

'A meetup?'

Samantha frantically asked, "Are you hanging out with brother Lucas and Rodney, big bro?"

While Shayne opened the door, he glanced back while raising his brows slightly at her as he said, "What are you asking about that for?"

"I want to come along too!"

"The place that we men head to is inappropriate for kids like you. Stay at home."

"I'm already twenty-one!"

Shayne ignored her as he entered his car in one smooth motion, started it, and drove out of the Jinn family mansion.

The streets were decorated with bright and colorful lights during New Year's Eve. It was very lively.

While Shayne was waiting at a red light, he took a casual glance out the window and noticed Yanny's poster on full display on the huge billboard at a nearby plaza.
