Verian simply threw the diamond ring on the table and turned to leave. Heaton's long arm clasped her wrist and asked, "Why didn't you tell me that you had a car accident that night?"
Verian sneered and looked back at him with red eyes. "You were so worried about Zaynie and you cared so much about Nancy. Would you care if I was in a car accident or something else had happened?"
He would only think that she was a casual and irrelevant woman!
Heaton furrowed his eyebrows deeper, pulling her into his arms and confining her to his chest area. "Did you hurt yourself?"
The worry in his eyes made her stunned for a moment, but then she thought about the fact that he was in the hospital that night and was so fierce toward her to protect Nancy Xander. He had even humiliated her in front of Yanni Quain. Her eyes became even redder and she struggled to push him away. She bit her lip and said, "You don't need to care about me. Thanks to Yanni Quain who sent me for a check-up, I'm fine!"
Yanni Quain, Yanni Quain again!
Heaton tried so hard to control his temper and talked to her kindly. This time, the fire in his heart was burning again, and his voice was cold and angry. "You left the Fudd family to go into Yanni Quain’s arms, didn't you? Does Yanni Quain know about how many times you’ve slept with me!"
Verian sent a slap flying over and it landed on his cheek loudly.
"Yes, I just want to be with Yanni Quain! At least Yanni Quain would not be so fierce to me! He would not distrust me! Yanni Quain is a hundred times better than you!"
Verian confronted him with his fierce, cold eyes for five seconds. Her tears fell silently before she pushed him abruptly and ran out of the Fudd family house.
Heaton stood there. After a while, he sighed heavily, raising his hand as he pressed his temple. When he saw the diamond ring on the short table, he felt agitated. He raised his long legs and kicked the coffee table until it fell over!
After Little Jelly Bean heard a loud “clunk” noise from upstairs, she ran out of the room blankly. She lay on the stairs of the second floor and looked at the living room downstairs.
Daddy's face was dark and smelly!
She frowned and looked downstairs for a long time, but she did not see Monty!
Oh no! Monty was scared off by her father’s fierceness!
...
After Verian ran out of the Fudd Family Mansion, she ran a long way until she was panting. Only then did she squat on the ground and burst into tears.
It was obvious that she had beaten Heaton, but she was the one who cried uncontrollably.
These days, she had been suppressing her emotions. When she was facing Heaton Fudd, she acted as if she was calm and nothing had happened. Only she herself knew how uncomfortable she felt these days.
Heaton Fudd was a bastard!
...
Verian just had a quarrel with Heaton so she could not go back to the Fudd Family Mansion. Instead, she went directly to the Mont Family Mansion.
She did not sleep well all night and went to work with a pale face early the next morning.
As soon as she entered the Creative Department, she was called into the office by the deputy director.
The deputy director put on a facial expression and threw two identical drawings in front of Verian's eyes. "Explain it! How can your drawings look exactly like Manager Xander's?"
Verian frowned and carefully examined the two paintings. Even the details of the two paintings were the same and she could not find any differences. Only the names that were signed at the corner were different.
Nancy had copied her drawings?
"Deputy director, I don't know why Manager Xander's drawings are the same as mine, but I have not copied from them from anyone."
The deputy director pushed the glasses on the bridge of her nose and sneered. "Oh? So you mean that Director Xander plagiarized your drawings?"
Verian pursed her lips and said nothing.
"Verian Mont, you clearly know that Director Xander has won many prestigious awards and you are just a newcomer illustrator who isn’t even an original artist. Who do you think will believe it was the director who plagiarized your sketches?"
It was true that no one would believe it, especially no one in the Fudd Group.
“What other explanation do you have?"
She took a deep breath, looked down at the two drawings, and said, "I didn't copy the drawings from the director, it doesn’t matter if you believe it or not."
