On the day that Shayne left, Yanny kept herself occupied by sending her wedding invitation in a bulk.

Somehow, she had also sent it to Samuel who was far away in England.

“Who are you?” Maria asked doubtfully.

Cara replied, “I wonder if Madam Sanders still remembers the name Yanny Joy. She’s my step sister that I share a father with. We’ve never been on good terms. Before this, Master Shayne was my fiance but Yanny used some shameful means to steal my fiance away from me. I must have my revenge.”

Maria took a sip of her coffee, then asked, “If Miss Jacob is seeking vengeance, then why are you looking for an outsider like me?”

Cara’s lips curled into a smile. “Madam Sanders once met with Yanny and tried to convince her to help you reconcile your mother and son relationship with Master Shayne. However, she had been disrespectful.”

“So what? Yanny is about to get married to Shayne. If I go against her, that’s no different than going against Shayne.”

Cara let out her trump card as a ruthless and calculative look flashed across her eyes, saying, “I understand Yanny very well. She’s an arrogant person. Madam Sanders. She would not help you put in a good word to Master Shayne. I know that the Haynes Corporation is in need of a lot of money. The Haynes Corporation has persevered for such a long time. If its cash flow issue can’t be solved, it will soon go bankrupt. The reason you came back here to deal with Master Shayne is for his investment, isn’t it?”

“You investigated me?”

Cara did not deny the allegation but instead lifted her chin slightly, saying, “Yanny can’t help you, but I can.”

“How can you help me? Why should I believe you?”

Cara looked at Maria and said, “My mother once saved Master Shayne’s life and I’m betrothed to Master Shayne to begin with. If not for this Yanny appearing out of nowhere, the position of Mrs. Jinn would’ve been mine. I need Madam Sanders to help me dethrone Yanny from her position as Mrs. Jinn. Moreover, I want her future destroyed.”

Maria did not expect that Cara would have such a ruthless side to her. However, the Haynes Corporation would be facing bankruptcy if the Jinn Group did not invest in them.
