Shayne’s mood was too abnormal. Samantha told the doctor to inject a dose of sedatives to let Shayne sleep peacefully.
When she sent the doctor off, she asked, “Doctor, what is happening to my brother? Could it be that he underwent too much shock that he is having intermittent memory loss?”
He could not even tell whether she graduated or not. It was frightening.
The doctor replied, “Miss Jinn, you worry too much. Master Shayne does not have amnesia. It’s only that he… went through too much shock. In the case of psychological trauma, he chose to shut down from the external world as a means to deal with it. In other words, Master Shayne could be slightly more depressed at the moment. He would not care too much about the outside world. Hence, he is in a trance, but over time, he will recover.”
Samantha understood and nodded her head. “Yanny just passed away. It’s only normal that my brother is so upset. Even I feel depressed, let alone him.”
“Miss Jinn, I’ll take my leave. If there are any changes to Master Shayne, you can just call me. Also, send more people to accompany him these few days. It would be best if it’s family members. In case if he gets into a persistent low mood, it would be easy to fall into a deadly cycle of autistic depression."
“Okay, I won’t go anywhere for the next few days. I’ll stay by his side.”
Samantha was afraid upon listening to words like depression and autistic.
Since a long time ago, how could a person like Shayne who was carefree and unrestrained be linked up with words like autistic and depressed?
Shayne slept for almost three to four hours and was not awake yet.
Samantha stayed by his side, and she also dozed off lying on the edge of the bed.
Outside the mansion, there was a loud piercing noise.
Samantha was awoken by it as she furrowed her brows and looked out of the window.
Outside, it was Cindy and another stranger.
Samantha looked at Shayne still sleeping peacefully on the bed and lightly stepped out of the bedroom and ran toward the courtyard.
“Sister Cindy, why are you here?”
Cindy said loudly, “Samantha, although Shayne is your brother, I must demand justice for Yanny today! Shayne killed Yanny! He must give us, Yanny’s good friends, an explanation! Samantha, ask him to come out!”
Samantha said embarrassingly, “But, Sister Cindy, my brother is currently sick. The doctor gave him a dose of sedatives so that he could sleep. If you want to demand justice, please come back another day. My brother is more upset than anyone over Yanny’s death.”
“Samantha, please don’t meddle in this matter, in case we get into conflict. Such a huge thing happened to Yanny that Shayne must give us an explanation now!”
Then, Samuel and Cindy wanted to break into the mansion.
Samantha was about to block them, when an exhausted, low man’s voice came through without any emotions, somewhat cold. “Let them in.”
Samantha turned her head. “Brother, you’re up?”
Thanks to the sedatives, Shayne slept for more than four hours. He was mentally and physically exhausted. Sadness felt like a distance to him, however, it also felt like something took away his spirit and soul. He could not cry, nor laugh, nor express any other emotions. He was like an empty wooden doll.
