Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1165

Yanny stared at all the information she gathered on Peter on her tablet. She immediately had Kiki book a flight to Empress Tree City.

Empress Tree City was a city in the mountains with beautiful scenery. Within that moment, Peter was staying in the Fairy Creek Village of Carhill County, Empress Tree City.

Kiki booked the fastest plane ticket to Empress Tree City. “Boss, the ticket I booked is at 5pm this afternoon. You should quickly pack up and get ready to move. I’m afraid you might miss the flight.”

Yanny nodded, then put her tablet and other prepared documents into her bag that she carried with her at all times. She instructed, “I’ll probably be away for at least a week. Just call me if anything happens in the company.”

“Yes, Boss. All the best!”

Kiki gave her a thumbs up.

Yanny laughed, then grabbed her bag and small luggage as she entered the elevator. She then went down to the basement parking lot.

Before she started the car engine, Yanny subconsciously glanced at her phone beside her that she had turned off. She grabbed the key, then pressed the power button. After half a second, she threw it back into her bag.

Nevermind. She would have to turn it off later when she boarded the plane anyway.

Turning it on would only increase her worries.

A chasm had appeared between her relationship with that person. It might be impossible to fill that chasm in her entire lifetime.

Yanny started the car. The white Porsche quickly departed from the parking lot.

Just as the white Porsche left, another silver Bugatti drove into Move Media’s basement parking.

Shayne held the brown envelope in his arm as he got up from the basement elevator. He was stopped by the front desk.

“Sir, may I know who you’re looking for? Do you have an appointment?”

“I’m an acquaintance with your Director J… Director Frank. I’m looking for her.”

“Do you have an appointment?”

Shayne had an outstanding temperament and looked to be someone of high social standing. However, the lady at the front desk was very dutiful and did not let him by.

Shayne was tall. His dark and sharp eyes took a quick look into the office. He strode right in with the brown envelope in his hand, ignoring the front desk’s attempt to stop him.

“Sir, you can’t enter without an appointment! Sir…”

Kiki ran into Shayne, who was trespassing into the company. “Director Jinn?”

Shayne vaguely remembered Kiki. He made a slight frown and asked, “Where’s your boss?”

Kiki was holding onto her coffee as she replied, “My boss just went out on a business trip. She’s on the way to the airport. If Director Jinn needs anything, I can—”

Before Kiki could complete her sentence, Shayne had already cut her off and asked, “Where did she go?”

“Carhill County, Empress Tree City.” Upon saying that, Kiki quickly covered her big mouth.

It would seem that she had just leaked company secrets…

If Director Jinn rushed to Empress Tree City as well to look for Peter’s Yellow River series, then it would be a major screw-up on her end.

Kiki was trying to find some ways to salvage the situation, but Shayne had turned around and left the company.

‘Oh no! Could Director Jinn be trying to steal the business?!’

Putting love aside, they were still competing business rivals after all…

‘Boss, you mustn’t fall prey to Director Jinn’s charms!’

Shayne chased after her all the way.

The airport was terribly crowded. Even though Shayne was tall, he spent a long time wandering around the huge airport before finally catching up to the long queue outside the airport lounge.

Yanny was having her tickets checked, preparing to enter.

“Yanny!”

Yanny thought that her ears were playing tricks on her and ignored the sound, up until that familiar and anxious voice called out once more.

“Yanny!”

She finally turned around to check it out.

Shayne was standing there with his chest heaving, gasping for air. His gaze was focused on her alone.
