Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1183

By the time Shayne traveled to the Blue Water Residential Area from his company, it was already almost 10:00 p.m.

Yanny’s daily routine was akin to that of an old person. She was just about to go to bed when she received Shayne’s phone call.

On the phone, he stated simply, cutting straight to the point saying, “I’m right beneath your place.”

Yanny was caught slightly off guard. She held her phone and walked to the window. Looking down, just as expected, a silver-colored sports car was there with a familiar figure standing beside it.

Yanny leaned on the window sill and talked to him, asking, “Why are you looking for me at such a late hour?”

“Yanny, come down.”

“I’m about to sleep. I’m already in my pajamas.” Yanny was not lying.

Shayne held the phone by his ear with one hand as he lowered his head. He stretched out his long leg and randomly kicked the pebbles. “I drove such a long way over, but you won’t even see me?”

“Wait for a moment then.”

Yanny ended the call and went to change.

It was cold outside and she needed to put on her down jacket before heading down.

10 minutes later, Yanny came out from the building, wrapped in a long down jacket.

Shayne had one hand in his pocket, looking at her from a distance while his brows formed a faint smile on his face. Within his dark eyes were seemingly littered with falling stars. When he looked at her, they were glimmering, filled with passion.

Yanny walked up to him and asked, “It’s late. You’ve been working the whole day. Why are you standing here posing as a car model instead of going home to rest?”

Shayne intermittently kicked around with his leather shoes, casually replying, “I was quite tired after working throughout the day. However, the moment I saw you my exhaustion went away. I have an illness now and require your treatment.”

“What?”

“I now want to see you everyday. If I can’t see you, I’ll feel fatigued and unmotivated to do anything.”

Shayne suddenly took a step closer to her, wrapping his lumbering body around her. “Of course, if I can get another hug, then it’ll be cured more thoroughly.”

His long sturdy arms had already pulled her into his embrace.

Even when separated by that thick down jacket, Yanny was still able to hear his strong pulsating heartbeats.

Just a simple hug like that, even if more intimate actions were not involved, Shayne was already sufficiently satisfied to the point of overflowing with warmth and affection.

The hug went on for a long time.

Shayne had no intention of letting go. He rested his chin on her forehead, then promised her sincerely, emphasizing his words, “Yanny, there’s no repeated mistakes between us, nor would it ever happen. This time, even if you toy me to death, I’ll never let go. If I knew that you were alive, I would’ve gone looking for you earlier. Separation while alive is even more tortuous than separation from death.

Yanny took a deep breath, then let out a mouthful of foggy white breath. She raised her head slowly to look at him, then smiled and said, “There’s still a long time between us.”

Shayne’s body trembled, then hugged her even tighter. His lips were curling upward.

Yes, there was still a long time. What was there to fear?

Yanny’s phone alarm that she set to remind her to sleep went off.

She said, “I need to go back and sleep.”

Shayne let go of her, then stood by the car as he watched her turn around. After she took a few steps, he suddenly strode forward and pulled her into his embrace once more, hugging her again from behind. Shayne’s face, cold from the chilly wind, stuck next to hers. He said in a hoarse but gentle voice, “Yanny, I just realized that as long as you’re in my embrace, all the suffering, twists and turns, are worth it.”

Yanny fell silent for a moment, then teased, “I really need to go back now. I’m not like you, being able to be so energetic on the second day after staying up all night.”

Shayne released her and said, “Go on then. I’ll leave after I see you go into the building.”

He stood next to the car in his black jacket, standing gracefully with his star-filled eyes.
