Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 122

Riana?

Verian’s eyes were completely red from crying. She gradually raised her head from Heaton’s chest. While blushing with her tiny face, she asked, “What did you call me?”

Heaton’s voice was deep and extremely attractive. Although his voice could sound a little cold, it sounded extraordinarily gentle when he said ‘Riana’, causing her to tremble slightly.

A subtle hint of delight could be seen in the man’s dark pearly eyes as he stared at her. “If you didn’t hear it earlier, it’s your loss.”

Verian Mont was speechless.

Verian was stunned as she immediately said, “How could I just let it slide so easily. I heard it but who allowed you to call me that?”

Not a single person but her father had called her that.

Ever since her father had passed, not a single person in this world had ever called her ‘Riana’ again.

Upon noticing Heaton’s silence as he cuddled her and started closing his eyes to get some rest, Verian leaned closer into him and said, “Only my father has ever called me Riana. Ever since his passing three years ago, not a single person has ever called me Riana again.”

Heaton intentionally asked, “Then, should I stop calling you Riana to stop reminding you of a sad memory?”

Verian became frantic. “You’re already calling me that anyway and I’ve already grown used to it so you have to keep calling me that in the future.”

Usually, he would only call her Verian Mont. Especially when he was furious, he would only call her by her full name. Obviously, there would be a strain in their relationship since they seemed so distant to one another.

When he called her Riana earlier, it had suddenly made her feel loved for a moment.

Heaton gradually opened his dark pearly eyes and stared at her with a funny look. “Miss Mont, all I did was call you Riana once so how could you adapt so quickly?”

Verian grew frustrated. “I don’t care. You’ll have to call me Riana from this moment on.”
