Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 123

While Verian was applying the medicine and helping him bandage his wound, she mumbled, “I thought I wouldn’t be as jealous as the other girls out there. I know about the past between you and Nancy but… I still can’t help but get jealous. Heaton, can you distance yourself from Nancy when we return to North City this time? I know she’s your sister-in-law and Zaynie is your…”

Heaton pulled the woman that was kneeling behind him to treat his wound to his chest.

Verian Mont was unprepared as she stumbled directly onto his chest. “I haven’t bandaged your wounds yet…”

“Haven’t I told you before that I have absolutely no relationship with Nancy?”

How was it that everything he told her would often fall on deaf ears?

“You don’t need to lie to me anymore. Your blood type is a match to Zaynie’s. How could there be so many coincidences in this world…”

She knew for a fact that Heaton had a relationship with Nancy in the past. Besides, who had not even gotten into a relationship before, right? The only thing was that Heaton had created ‘life’ with Nancy.

However, she could not accept Heaton’s lies. The only thing she hated more than anything else was lying.

The man stared intently at her with his dark pearly eyes. His gaze was slightly menacing. Verian shrugged in response and said, “Have I said something wrong to have you stare at me like that?”

Heaton was known to be quite menacing to others, especially when he was questioning a person. That made him even more menacing.

The man stared at her for a long moment before relenting and letting out a sigh. He explained while holding back his anger, “I have the same blood type as my brother. Zaynie just so happens to share the same blood type as my brother. Do you understand now?”

He had never expected Verian to have a cold war with him for days previously just because of that alone?

Verian was stunned as a flash of shock and delight manifested at the corner of her eyes. “So that means Zaynie isn’t the child you and Nancy had then?”

How vile indeed, Nancy had intentionally told her that he shared the same blood type as Zaynie to cause misunderstandings between them!

The truth was, upon much deeper thought, this incident had been a sinister scheme by Nancy all along.

However, she was caught in the middle of everything. Since it was perfectly normal to be charmed that when a woman became jealous, she would lose her sense of judgment. Hence, a rational mind was even far-fetched.

Verian was curious again so she asked, “But you said when you were in your previous relationship in university back then, you would line up candles in a shape of a heart at her dormitory’s ground floor when you guys were still studying at university. Even Nancy told me that. You… Did you actually pursue after Nancy before?”

The man focused his gaze onto her without answering her question, intentionally pulling her leg as he tossed the question back at her, “You just enjoy stringing us together, don’t you. Do you actually hope that I’ve pursued after her before?”

“How is that possible… No, of course I don’t wish that you’ve gone after her before!”

It would be best if they had absolutely zero ties to one another.

Which woman would not be bothered by their current boyfriend’s exes?

If they were not then, it meant they were not in love enough. However, it seemed she was currently falling deeper in love, especially when Heaton Fudd was willing to swallow his pride to come all this way to Regent Island just to look for her. Not to mention, he had almost lost his life in that journey, so which woman’s heart would not be swayed by that gesture alone?

Especially when this person was Heaton Fudd. The prideful and arrogant Heaton Fudd.

“I was actually at her dormitory’s ground floor, lining up candles for her.”

Verian immediately grew furious upon noticing just how blunt and casual he seemed as he admitted to it.

However, it was her that made him come clean in the first place.

She pouted her lips and mustered a cold expression on her tiny face while her fingers toyed playfully with the bandages on his body. Heaton lowered his head and looked toward her. Her face was puffed up, and from the corner of his eyes, she seemed to be acting in a coquettish manner.

Heaton said intentionally, “You’re mad even when I tell you the truth. What exactly do you want from me?”

“I am a little jealous of Nancy Xander, okay.”

However after she was done speaking, she was nervously looked at his expression.

She told him she was jealous of Nancy Xander but would he think that she was being unreasonably jealous?

Heaton lowered his head and gave her forehead a gentle kiss. He then said in a muted tone, “But, I was lining the heart-shaped candles for her to help my brother confess to her.”
