Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 146

Verian Mont held back her breath and retracted her head, leaning down into the seat like a tortoise.

However, her worries of exposure were clearly meaningless, as Heaton Fudd had obviously seen her already, but he did not stop the conversation with Yvette Yaleman, treating Verian as if she was non-existent. That made Verian feel even worse.

Little Jelly Bean pursed her little lips and winked at Verian. “Monty, did Daddy see us?”

Verian did not answer. Little Jelly Bean climbed up and knelt on the cushion of the booth, looking over at table 32.

Suddenly, Little Jelly Bean called out, “Daddy!”

It scared the living lights out of Yvette Yaleman!

Yvette turned around and saw an innocent little face staring at her curiously. Yvette was slightly stunned, wondering if that was the three-year-old daughter that Heaton mentioned.

“Mr. Fudd… Fudd is she…?”

Heaton introduced with a smile, “This is my daughter, Little Jelly Bean.”

Little Jelly Bean ran over to Heaton. Verian wanted to stop her, but she did not want to show her face at that moment, so she let her.

“Daddy, is this my new stepmom?”

Multiple emotions flashed across Yvette’s face that one could only describe as multi-colored. Being called a stepmom in public was truly embarrassing.

Heaton frowned and purposely lectured her with a deep voice, “Jelly Bean, don’t get naughty now.”

Little Jelly Bean was not threatened at all. She held onto Heaton’s hand and said, “Daddy, Monty is here too. Monty said that she doesn’t want you to look for a stepmom for me. She wants to be my stepmom.”

Verian, who was sitting behind the booth rolled her big eyes. When did she ever say such things?

Without thinking twice, Verian stood up immediately. “I didn’t say that!”

Yvette was startled, why was there another person?!

Exactly how many people were eavesdropping over their blind date?!

Yvette looked over at Verian with animosity in her eyes. “Mr. Fudd, who is this lady? Don’t tell me that she is your daughter’s birth mother?”

Heaton looked at Verian calmly with his dark eyes and said plainly, “Of course not.”

Verian froze on the spot. Her bright eyes looked at him, lost in thoughts. He was so cold and heartless, acting as if they were regular friends. Did he deny her status so quickly because he was afraid that Yvette would get angry?

Seeing that Yvette was doubtful, Heaton smiled lightly and looked at Verian and asked in the blandest manner, “Miss Mont, why don’t you tell Miss Yaleman here about our relationship?”

He looked at her nonchalantly and called her “Miss Mont”. Hah, what a way to draw the line with her. Since he was so adamant about drawing a clear line, how could she disappoint him in return?

Verian’s tiny fingertips sank into her palms. Her heart felt like it was being crushed, but she kept a tiny smile on her face. “Miss Yaleman, I’m only just a friend to Mr. Fudd. Little Jelly Bean wanted to come and see you so much, that’s why I brought her here. I’m sorry for disturbing you.”

As her voice faded, Verian grabbed her handbag and immediately left Shallow Bay Restaurant.

Little Jelly Bean said agitatedly, “Daddy, you have made Monty angry and she ran away!”

‘Hmph, Daddy is a liar.’ He said that he would bring Monty home with them if he brought her to Shallow Bay Restaurant!

Heaton carried Little Jelly Bean and said courteously to Yvette Yaleman, “Excuse us, Miss Yaleman.”

Heaton put Little Jelly Bean into the car as soon as they left Shallow Bay. “You stay right here.”

“Daddy, you must catch Monty!”

Heaton Fudd locked the car door and ran up to Verian Mont—

“Why are you running?”

“Let go of me! Aren’t you afraid that Miss Yaleman would have a misunderstanding about our relationship?”

What exactly was he trying to do? He was so adamant about denying their relationship, but instead was chasing after her at that moment. Why?

Heaton humped coldly and locked his hand onto her wrist, pulling her into his arms. “My relationship with you is real, with or without misunderstanding.”
