Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 227

When Heaton crawled underneath the covers, the woman nuzzled against his side while both her arms hugged his waist. She mumbled, “Don’t move, wind… cold.”

Heaton lowered his head and kissed her forehead. He spoke in a soft tone, “Yeah. I’ll stop moving now.”

Heaton did not sleep for the entire night.

If Verian learnt of his ailment, would she be afraid of him? Would she behave just like Xyla and terrifyingly escape him as if she was running away from a patient with mental disorder?

When Verian woke up the next morning, she instinctively felt the bed next to her.

Heaton had already woken up.

After Verian freshened up, she thought that she would see Heaton in the living room however, all that greeted her was a scrumptious meal on the table with a post-it note stuck beside it. There was some writing on it.

“Off to the office first. Not going to eat breakfast with you. Be a good girl and finish your meal.”

When Verian saw the note, she felt a wave of sweetness in her heart.

There was a table full of scrumptious breakfast and she wondered if he actually made that meal.

She first tried a bit of the fried egg then took a bite from the sandwich. They tasted delicious.

She never expected Heaton to be so gifted in cooking.

Verian then moved the breakfast around before taking a high quality picture of it. She wanted to show it off amongst her friend group.

However, she also felt that it was inappropriate to do so.

Hence, she first sent Heaton the picture to ask for his opinion. Besides, she recalled Heaton initially wanting to keep their marriage a secret. Moreover, Heaton did not seem keen on holding a wedding.

Although Verian did not care much about pretentious ceremonies but this did not mean that she never wanted it.

As soon as Heaton arrived at his office, he received a text message from Verian.

It was a picture with a beauty filter of her breakfast. She said, “I want to share it in my friend group.”

Although that text was written as a statement, it sounded more like a question.

Her cautious tone hurt Heaton. The man saved the picture with his long fingers then entered his friend group and uploaded his first post.

Verian waited for a very long time for Heaton’s reply but to no avail. Hence, Verian began overthinking if Heaton disliked the idea of her openly revealing their relationship?

While she was deep in thoughts, she began looking through her friend group and instantly saw a notification.

It was a familiar breakfast picture with the caption which read, “Made breakfast for Madam Fudd.”

Verian stared at the status for a couple seconds. She was still in disbelief.

She added Heaton’s WeChat account for a very long time now. However, Heaton’s profile was empty and never once posted anything.

Previously, she had seen a post which mentioned that if a man’s profile was empty, that man would be very unreliable.

Although these were obviously troll posts Verian pondered if Heaton really disliked the fact of exposing his private life or was he merely hiding his past?

However, Heaton actually made his first post unexpectedly!

Not to mention, that post was very impactful!

This was basically him announcing to the entire world that Heaton Fudd was already married!

As Verian stared at the post and smiled with a funny look, her WeChat chimed. Her intuition told her that it was from Heaton. She exited his profile. Lo and behold, it was indeed Heaton.

“Have you seen the post yet?”

Verian sent a sweet reply, “I did.”

Heaton questioned again, “Are you not planning on responding to it?”

Verian covered her face as she felt warm and flustered.

She could seemingly feel that deep burning gaze through the screen.

Even though she uploaded the picture, she had no idea what the caption would be.

She initially wanted to write, “Hubby made me breakfast.” However, she felt that it would be too cheesy.

Finally, she typed out a string of red hearts before sharing it.

Heaton shared plenty of mutual friends with Verian.

Friends like… Wilson Jarret.
