Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 337

Serene initially intended to take the bus to the Hemisphere Hotel but she was worried that she might have to wait for a long while for the bus and the dumplings might get cold. Hence, she took a cab to the hotel instead.

Upon arriving at Wilson’s door, she stood outside and took a deep breath a full minute before mustering up the courage to knock on his door.

When she was with Chainer back then, she did not even feel the slightest bit bashful but why her anxiety now?

It was only a relationship, who would not go through one anyway.

When Wilson opened the door, his hair was still wet. It was obvious he had just finished his shower.

“Morning.”

When the door opened, Serene had an awkward smile while greeting him.

Truly an embarrassing and horrible opener.

Wilson was holding onto a white towel in his hand while casually drying his hair. He said while walking inside, “What time did you go to bed last night?”

He took a glance at the time. It was 9.30 A.M.

Since she did not struggle to get out of bed when she slept so late last night, would this mean that he was capable of making her feel excited for a good few days?

Serene mumbled, “I slept early. Basically, after I was done texting you. I slept immediately after that. I…I was woken up by the fireworks this morning.”

She felt slightly guilty after she was done speaking as she dared not look Wilson in the eye.

No one knew that she was so excited, she slept at four while clutching onto her phone. She woke up at six, and the first thing she did was check her phone to see if she received any messages from him.

She even applied extra foundation under her eyes to hide the dark circles when she did her make up this morning.

She would usually sleep like the dead so it would be impossible for her to have problems like the dark circles around her eyes.

It was Wilson’s fault to cause her to lose sleep.

Wilson did not say a word and did not want to expose her lie.

Serene took out the lunchbox from a plastic bag and said, “You must have not eaten your breakfast yet, right? My mom made too many dumplings this morning and she said she’d have to toss them away. So, I feel like it’s such a shame to let them go to waste. These are stuffed with minced meat, the outer dough and the stuffings are all homemade and fresh. I can guarantee it. It wouldn’t taste worse than the ones you have in seven-star hotels.”

Wilson stared deeply at her with his dark eyes. He seemed like he was judging her and yet it felt like he was teasing her too. He looked at the intricately made dumplings through the transparent lunchbox. He then raised his brows and said, “So, you’re giving me food that you’re planning to toss away?”

Serene was worried he might misunderstand her so she frantically explained, “No, there are about twenty dumplings in the wok and my parents haven’t even touched them yet. I only stole a few dumplings away before heading out. It’s fine if you don’t want to eat it, I haven’t had breakfast anyway.”

She pretended to take the lunchbox away but the man grabbed it from her with his huge hand. He teasingly said, “I really want to eat it but where are the chopsticks?”

Serene was speechless.

Serene was about to cry from her stupidity. She actually forgot to bring some chopsticks along earlier.

“I’ll ask the hotel. They should have some and they might be able to send some over…”

As she was just about to get up, she was dragged down on the bed by Wilson. The both of them were now sitting on the bed together.

Wilson said while staring into her eyes, “This isn’t some high-end luxurious hotel. By the time you request for chopsticks and the staff delivers them here, the dumplings would’ve gotten cold.”

“Then, what should we do?”

“Feed me.”

The corner of Serene’s mouth twitched as she instinctively asked, “How?”

Wilson grabbed one of her hands and said, “Just use your hand.”
