Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 338

Wilson held Serene by her hand as they got out of the Hemisphere Hotel. Serene was tempted to speak but she held her tongue throughout their walk. She merely kept her head lowered while staring at Wilson’s huge hand that was holding hers.

Were they now…officially a couple?

However he…never seemed to have explicitly claimed that.

When she was previously with Chainer, she was foolishly dating him. However, when she was dumped by him, he actually told her that he never claimed that she was ever his girlfriend.

Although she knew Wilson was not that kind of person, Serene could not help but feel slightly worried about the uncertainty.

“Hey…”

As Serene was just about to speak, Wilson’s phone chimed.

When the man took a glance at his phone, Serene actually noticed that it was a text by Shirley on WeChat.

Serene bit her lips and said with a frown, “You actually added Shirley?”

That question sounded salty.

Wilson’s brows were slightly twitching as he said, “Weren’t you the one who gave Shirley my WeChat account? Since it was given by you and if I had rejected her, wouldn’t that be disrespectful to you?”

Serene was speechless.

He had the audacity to pin everything on her! How unreasonable!

Only God knew just how reluctant and unwilling Serene felt then when she gave Shirley Wilson’s WeChat account.

The only thing was, Shirley was her university mate and her roommate at the same time. Moreover, they were splitting the rent on their apartment and Shirley paid most of the rent. If any strain was placed between their relationship and if Shirley was to move out, she would not be able to get a roommate on such short notice. The rent would be a major problem for her.

Serene pouted as she mumbled softly, “So, when someone else added you, you feel the need to accept them? Are all you men unable to turn down pretty women?”

Her statements sounded increasingly bitter.

However, the more bitter Serene sounded, the more comfortable Wilson felt in his heart.

“Jealous?”

Serene pulled her hand away as she grunted, “Hell no!”

She stormed ahead furiously.

Wilson grinned as he did not notice any text messages from Shirley. So, he deleted the entire conversation with her, locked his phone and put it back into his pocket.

When he caught up with the woman, Wilson immediately hugged Serene in his arms as he stared at her brisk red nose. He raised his brows slightly while saying, “What are you running off for in such cold weather? Be a good girl and stay in my arms.”

Although Serene told him that she was not cold, her actions said otherwise. She burrowed into Wilson’s embrace while lowering her gaze. Through her watery eyes, there were glimmers of bashful delight.

However, upon a much deeper thought, Serene suddenly came to a terrifying assumption. She asked, “You wouldn’t be with me just because you want to get closer to Shirley, right?”

Wilson was speechless.

Wilson raised his hand and flicked Serene’s forehead.

“Oh… Ouch!”

Wilson coldly stared at her tiny face and said, “What are you overthinking for?”

Serene pouted her lips and spoke in a carefree manner, “It’s not like it hasn’t happened to me before. When I was in university, there were plenty of male students who handed me loads of love letters.”

When Wilson heard that, his entire expression dimmed.

However, in the very next second, Serene looked up and shot a smile at him as she continued, “But they were all meant for Shirley. Since Shirley and I shared a room in our dorm, they would often butter up to me. Sometimes, they would even bring me breakfast in order to gain information about Shirley from me.”

As she spoke, Serene lowered her head slightly depressed as she continued in a deflated tone, “I originally thought I had somewhat of a major appeal to them, to attract so many male students. However, it turns out, I was only used as a stepping stone.”
