Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 439

The next morning, Serene walked out of her bedroom with red and swollen eyes.

Serene's parents stood outside her door as they tried to listen to her movements in the room. They were stunned when Serene opened the door, but they pretended as if nothing had happened and walked away.

"Honey, what are we having for breakfast today?"

"Let's have some soup with rice. What about you, little brat? What do you feel like eating?"

Serene pursed her lips and said, "You guys go ahead. I don't have much of an appetite."

Serene's mother frowned in displeasure, "You didn't eat anything last night, and you're skipping breakfast now. Do you want to spoil your stomach?"

Serene's father hinted at his wife to speak in a gentler tone, but Serene's mother was a hot-tempered woman. Furthermore, she was still in a fit of anger, so she could not control her temper at all.

Disheartened, Serene went to the bathroom to refresh herself. The doorbell rang just as she was done.

Serene's father pushed Serene's mother to the seat and said, "Sit down. I'll get the door."

Serene's father opened the door and saw Wilson in front of him.

He hesitated for a few seconds. He did not know if he should let him into the house. It was something he should consider before he made any decision.

"Honey, who is it?"

The Ludd family did not have a big house. Serene's mother tilted her head at the door before she saw the bastard who had deceived her daughter. Her face immediately darkened.

"Close the door."

Serene's mother ordered her husband. She did not have the intention to let Wilson into her home.

Serene's father was about to close the door, but Wilson managed to block him. "Aunty, Uncle, I'm here to tell you the whole story."

Serene's mother when she heard what he had said. She stormed to the door in an imposing manner. "Explain? What do you want to tell us? You want to tell us that you're married, but you love Serene instead of your wife, so you want Serene to become your mistress?"

Serene came out of the bathroom when she heard his voice. Her heart trembled as her gaze fell on Wilson, who stood by the door.

Their gazes met.

Wilson's eyes were filled with compassion.

However, Serene avoided Wilson's gaze.

"Uncle, Aunty, I am at fault for what had happened. I know that it's hard for you to understand why I'm still clinging to Serene when I'm already married. But my marriage with Luna exists in name only."

"If that was the case, why did you marry her in the first place? Your wife visited us yesterday. She told Serene to stay away from you. It seems like she has feelings for you, and she has already forgiven you. I advise you to go back and live your life with your wife."

Wilson knew that he could not persuade them with his explanation, especially when they had an elder's mindsets and beliefs. They would not be able to accept his answer.

Yet, at the same time, he could not tell Serene's parents the real reason behind their marriage. Even if he told them every detail, her parents would probably think that he was just a liar.

Wilson had never felt so frustrated in his 32 years of life. He was always invincible, even when he had to face his most powerful enemies and snipers. Yet, he lost all of his fortitude in front of regular folks like Serene's parents.

To Serene's parents, he was only merely a bad guy who cheated on his wife. Even Serene thought he was a complete bastard. Her affection for him had probably already vanished.

Serene's mother stared at Wilson with a solemn expression. She said, "I don't care who you are, or whether you're Chainer or not, please leave right away. We don't welcome you here. Serene will never see you again. You should just give up. As a man of experience, let me advise you, treat your wife well, or else you will regret it."
