Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 459

Serene did not contact Wilson for days. She did the same thing every day by going to work and returning home.

Serene’s mother was still taking care of her in North City. However, perhaps she was starting to think Serene had calmed down and stopped dating Wilson, her guard was lowered significantly.

When her workday was over today, she got out of the hospital and took the number 3 subway line home. Due to it being peak rush hour, it was crowded. She was wearing high heels since there was an event in the hospital today. However, the event was abruptly canceled, forcing her to wear high heels for the entire day. She was now also forced to stand in a packed train in high heels as well. That thought alone hurt her head.

“Find out where Serene’s current location is at.”

Wilson was sitting in the car as he looked at the main entrance of the Second Hospital while he ordered Thompson who was sitting beside him.

Thompson looked speechless as he switched on his laptop to find out Serene’s current location before speaking in a thick foreign accent, “You are truly hexxed for real now! Not only did you abandon Ruby for that Serene lady, you’d drink yourself blind for her! Look at your recurring ailment now! Hmph, I am quite interested in seeing for myself just what kind of powers Serene has over you to cause you to go head over heels for her!”

Thompson was in the same organization with Wilson and he just so happened to also be Wilson’s head doctor. Wilson was a difficult patient to Thompson and patients like him were a doctor’s nightmare.

However, since they were both close friends, he was quite curious about which woman Wilson had a crush on. He was curious to see just what kind of a woman could actually captivate Wilson.

“Me allowing you to tag along isn’t for the purpose of hearing you nag at me.”

Thompson rolled his eyes and said in an impatient tone, “Found it. She’s at the train station of the number 3 subway line. The train will arrive in three minutes…”

Before Thompson could finish, Wilson immediately opened the door, got out of the car and walked straight toward the train station.

“Hmm…? Why isn’t this person driving when he has a car and chose to take the train?”

Could this be a spell from being in love?

Serene was feeling uncomfortable standing as she waited for the train as she would occasionally reach her hand out to pound onto her legs. She truly was not used to wearing high heels.

A gust of cold wind blew, foreshadowing the incoming train.

When Serene looked at the crowd in the train, her tiny face sunk. There were a lot of people and it seemed she would be sandwiched by a lot of people today.

When she got onto the train, due to the tightly packed crowd, she was pushed and shoved inside. She could not maintain her balance since she was wearing high heels and when the train began to move, Serene leaned slightly to the side due to habit and somehow leaned onto a warm chest.

She was startled and immediately got up and wanted to apologize to that person. However, that person had already grabbed onto both her hands, keeping her balanced.

Serene was startled and when she looked up, she could see Wilson’s handsome face.

Was she hallucinating? How could Wilson… be here?

It was only after the man raised her hand and flicked her forehead with his long slender fingers. Serene cried out in pain, “Huu… Ouch.”

“Done staring?”

“You… What are you doing here?”

Also, how did he know she was here?

Wilson did not answer her question instead, he kept staring at her white tender little face before asking in a deep voice, “Did you miss me in all these days?”

Serene bit her lips when he brought that up. She then reached out to push him away. She lowered her eyes and seemed a little annoyed as she said, “No. I was eating, sleeping and living well. I didn’t miss you even the slightest bit.”

He did not even bother picking up her calls and yet he had the audacity to ask her that question?

However, after she was done speaking, the man remained silent for a brief moment so Serene felt a little off and asked him what she really wanted to know, “Why didn’t you pick up my calls?”

Was it because of how busy he was or was it simply because he did not want to?

“I returned to Rome recently. My divorce with Ruby was completely done.”
