Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 511

The night before Heaton flew to London, he had to deal with some work matters in the study room when Little Jelly Bean shuffled into the room.

The little girl crawled into Heaton's lap and pleaded with him. "Daddy, can you bring me with you to find Monty tomorrow morning?"

Heaton chuckled. "If Little Jelly Bean wants to go find Monty, who's going to watch over Little Brother for me?"

Little Jelly Bean pouted; she felt displeased. "Oh, okay then. I will stay here and take care of Little Brother for you. Daddy, you must bring Monty home." The chubby little girl urged him earnestly.

Heaton lifted her, put her on the floor, and subsequently said, "I know. Go back to your room and sleep. I need to work."

Little Jelly Bean nodded. She tiptoed to bring her face closer to Heaton's. "Good night, Daddy. Kiss kiss."

Heaton leaned toward her and planted a kiss on his daughter's forehead. "Good night, Jelly Bean."

As Little Jelly Bean had gotten what she wanted, she pranced back to her room in delight.

His eyes were full of affection and gentleness when he stared at the little girl's short, adorable figure.

Then he received a notification alert from his phone, and it was a WeChat message from Verian.

[Heaton, are you asleep?]

Heaton instantly replied. [I'm just about to work.]

[Huh? It's getting late there, and you still want to continue your work? Staying up late is not good for your health.] Verian replied soon after that.

Without an answer to her questions, Heaton cleverly diverted the conversation. [Which hotel in London are you staying at? Is it a good hotel?]

Verian thought Heaton was concerned if she had adapted to the new environment. So, she sent her location to Heaton of the hotel. She also assured him that she was doing well in London and told him not to worry about her.

Verian wanted to talk to Heaton a little while more, but the man brushed her off 'impassively'; he needed to work. Verian could only drop the subject dispiritedly; she replied to him with an 'okay.' However, it did not cross her mind that Heaton would fly to London to meet her.

In London, England.

After she toured the Royal Academy of Arts, she bumped into Bodd at the school entrance again and exchanged greetings with him.

As they were about to part ways, Bodd accidentally tripped, and Verian quickly held him up.

"Bodd, are you okay?"

Bodd's cheeks were unusually red. When she noticed that, Verian placed her hand on his forehead; it was burning hot. "You have a fever. Let me take you to the hospital."

Verian hailed a taxi. However, Bodd stopped her. "Not to the hospital. I don't want to go to the hospital."

"But your forehead is very warm. If you don't go to the hospital to get your body temperature back to normal, it will cause damage to your brain."

"Verian, I really don't want to go to the hospital. Why don't you take me back to my place? I just want to sleep right now."

As Bodd was adamant, Verian could not argue with him. "All right."

'He should be fine if he takes antipyretic medications, puts an ice pack on his forehead, and rubs his body with alcohol to reduce his high body temperature after we're back to his place,' Verian thought to herself.

After much difficulty, Verian managed to help him back to his condominium.

"Come, this way."

As she supported him, Verian walked into the bedroom and gently placed him on the bed. The moment Bodd laid on the bed, he rested his arm on his forehead and began to feel drowsy.

"Where's your first-aid kit? Do you have a thermometer?"

Bodd answered her in a daze. "It's in the kitchen cabinet."

"Wait for me. I will grab a thermometer and an ice pack right away."

Verian swung around and ran toward the kitchen in search of the first-aid kit. She took out an ice pack from the freezer and immediately went back into the bedroom.

Bodd took his body temperature as he pressed the ice pack on his forehead.

Verian was worried, so she asked, "Do you want some water? Are you hungry?"

"A little."
