Verian latched onto Heaton like a baby kangaroo. He carried her into the hotel room.
As they entered the room, Verian's face, which she had buried into Heaton's embrace, burned crazily in embarrassment.
She tightened her fist and punched Heaton's chest lightly. "Why didn't you tell me before coming here? Are you here to do a sudden check up on me?" Verian glared at him, but there was affection in her gaze.
Heaton hugged her tighter in his embrace. As he stared at her intently, he explained, "Rather than saying that I miss you on the phone, I prefer taking action to prove to you that I did miss you."
Verian's face blushed even more. Heaton's sweet-talk could always tug at her heartstrings. With her arms around his neck, she kissed his thin lips uncontrollably.
"I miss you too…"
Verian's sweet, soft voice darkened Heaton's gaze. His piled up emotions for her in the past few days surged crazily. Then he pushed her against the wall and kissed her back passionately.
He shoved Verian onto the wall and kept his strong hands on her hips; she was taller than him in that position. It made their kiss even more natural, deeper, and passionate.
Heaton stripped her dress off…
…
An hour later, the large bed in the president deluxe suite was in big a mess.
There was a pair of overturned light-colored flats and a pair of black leather shoes on the floor next to the bed.
The night sky outside was quiet and serene. With her woman in his embrace, Heaton laid on the bed with his eyes closed. His complexion looked peaceful and satisfied.
Even though Verian was a little tired from the 'exercise', she did not feel sleepy and had many questions in mind that she wanted to ask him.
Verian gazed at Heaton's clean and handsome chin. She stretched her hand and caressed his elegant face. "Why are you suddenly here? Are you really here to check up on me?"
Heaton opened his eyes gradually and stared at her smooth, rosy complexion. He smiled and said in a raspy voice, "Seems like Mrs. Fudd have some hidden secrets?"
Verian huffed. "I'm not afraid of a spot check, of course. But I should be the one checking on you. There are plenty of women in North City who are fond of you. Did you take advantage of my absence and secretly find someone else?"
"Why am I not aware that there are plenty of women who like me?"
Women like Nancy and Lain probably had not given up their feelings for him. She should be vigilant against them, right?
Verian rolled her eyes at him. "Mr. Fudd, you don't even know that you emit charisma everywhere you go. Please retain your soaring, radiant charm from other women. Otherwise, you will break other girls' hearts."
Heaton chuckled. As he stretched his hand to hold her right hand, he accidentally brushed his skin against Verian's scalded finger. She frowned and hissed in pain.
Heaton creased his brows. "What happened to your finger?"
Verian wanted to retract her hand, but it was too late. Heaton gripped her hand firmly and started to check on her injury.
The man's furrow deepened. "How did you hurt yourself?"
"When I was having lunch, I accidentally splashed some boiling soup on my finger. I'll be fine."
"You're not lying to me, are you?"
Heaton stared at her intently as if his gaze could pierce through her lies. His eyes were overly sharp, and Verian was no match for him.
