Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 532

After enjoying whale watching at the seaside, Heaton originally wanted to drive the car around to look for a hotel nearby. However, in this desolate wilderness, the nearest hotel was rather far from their current whale watching point on the map. It would take at least a six to seven hours drive to reach the nearest hotel.

Verian suggested to him, “Since we’re in an RV and have brought our luggage along, shouldn’t we spend the night in this RV?”

Besides, it was already very late, and it was difficult to drive in the dark. Heaton refused to let Verian drive the car this morning, so he would definitely not let her drive at night. However, Verian felt uneasy if they completely relied on Heaton to drive.

Heaton pulled Verian into the RV. “Do you think you can fall asleep if we spend the night in the car?”

Verian smiled and snuggled her head into his embrace. “Of course, I can fall asleep if Mr. Fudd is willing to become my cushion.”

Verian glanced at the small bed in the RV. It was not small and would be alright for Heaton and Verian to squeeze into for the night. There was a long couch beside the bed and if the bed could not accommodate them both, they could sleep separately, with one of them on the bed and the other on the couch.

Their dinner was prepared in the RV’s cozy kitchen. Verian cooked two piping hot bowls of ham sausage and fried eggs on instant noodles.

Both of them sat at the small dining table and enjoyed their dinner.

Verian felt the instant noodles were extremely aromatic and delicious. However, Heaton seldom ate fast food. Naturally, in Heaton’s perspective, instant noodles were not just fast food, but they were also junk food.

“Are you used to eating instant noodles?”

The man’s lips curved upward. “I’ve already gotten used to them after being with you for so long.”

Instant noodles, hot and sour fish with pickled vegetables, fried rice cake, cold noodles, steamed rice... Be it healthy or not, Heaton had accompanied her in eating them all.

Verian felt warmed and loved by his actions. Heaton had broken his steadfast beliefs and principles for her to do many things he would not have done in the past. She held a special place in his heart as it only belonged to her.

After finishing their dinner, Verian was cleaning up the table when a series of knocks sounded from the window.

Heaton and Verian looked toward the window simultaneously and saw an Asian woman standing outside the window.

In a foreign country, there was a need to remain vigilant and careful when bumping into a stranger, even if the person was female.

Heaton stood up and told Verian, “I’ll take a look.”

“Be careful.”

Heaton nodded and bent his body slightly before opening the door to alight from the car.

That Asian woman was already at the front door and initiated a conversation in English. “Hi, I’ve lost my way and parted with my partner. I’m alone tonight and don’t have a car. Can I spend the night with you two?”

As Heaton’s face was slightly aloof and cold, the Asian woman clapped both her hands together and anxiously begged Heaton. “Please, help me. I’ll only stay for one night and guarantee I won’t disturb you guys.”

As Verian heard whispering noises from the outside, she came out of the car. “Heaton, is there something going on?”

The moment the Asian woman heard Verian conversing in Chinese, a wide, relieved grin spread across her face. She then conversed in Chinese as well. “So we’re from the same country. What a coincidence.”

Verian was in a daze and glanced toward Heaton. He explained to her, “She wants to stay with us for the night.”

Heaton was implying that it was up to her to decide on whether to offer the woman shelter or not.

If Verian agreed, he naturally had no issues with it. He would follow suit as well if she did not agree to it.

Women were sharp in discerning what people had in their mind from their body language. Once the woman noticed that decision-making power lied in Verian’s hands, she shifted her gaze toward Verian and looked at her with her pathetic puppy eyes. “Beautiful lady, please let me stay for the night. I can pay you an accommodation fee. I really can’t get or hitch a ride to the hotel at such a late hour.”

Verian was soft-hearted at the stranger’s request and was not an impervious person. Besides, the woman was from the same country as them, so she felt sorry if she were to reject her. She glanced at Heaton and asked, “Shall we let her stay the night then?”

“It’s up to you to decide.”

In the end, they agreed to offer shelter to the woman.

“Hi, I’m called Linny. How should I address you both?”

Linny reached out her hand to shake hands with Verian. Verian then introduced herself. “I’m V-...”

“I’m Frank and this is my wife, Mone,” Heaton interrupted her.

Verian was speechless.

Linny smiled. “Both your names are beautiful.”
