Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 546

When Wilson woke up and received the voice message, it was already the next morning.

The conversation between Verian and Serene could be heard coming from his phone…

“Since you feel that he isn’t a good person then why’d you date him in the first place?”

“I want to leave that dangerous man as far away as possible but I just can’t help myself from staying by his side. What can I do anyway?”

“Then, what are you planning to do? Honestly speaking, Serene, you’re able to so cleanly sever ties with Chainer after he cheated on you, sure… However, what about Wilson? Will you be able to do the same?”

“I wanted to lie and tell you that I can. However, I am well aware how different both Wilson and Chainer stood in my heart. Wilson taught me what true love is and what persistence meant in a relationship. Perhaps he knew… that the both of us are very different people. Even if I know how dangerous of a man he is, I can’t help myself from thinking about him.”

“Therefore, I believe our relationship hasn’t ended yet. I am willing to believe that everything I’ve seen and felt from our relationship is real. Since it’s real, his feelings toward me will be real too but I have no idea why he’d break up with me so suddenly right now. However, if it turns out that he really loves me, he will come looking for me.”

...

Wilson’s fingertips turned pale from clutching his phone.

That foolish brat actually believed him and still naively believed that he would look for her.

However… What if he never came looking for her ever again?

Wilson closed his eyes tightly after he finished listening to that voice message.

He received a sudden call from Thompson…

“Wilson! Ruby and I will come pick you up in a helicopter tonight! Wait for us on the roof of the hospital! Your identity has been exposed and we’re worried what the Dark Organization might do! You need to be extremely careful when alone!”

Verian was focused on Heaton’s phone the entire time in the patient’s ward as she asked, “Has Dr. Jarret replied yet?”

Heaton replied in a calm tone, “He has.”

“What did he say?”

“He said, he’ll be leaving North City tonight.”

The corners of Verian’s mouth twitched and she was completely speechless.

Even after listening to so many heartfelt and touching words, he wanted to leave North City tonight?

Verian shook her head and said, “It seems men can be really cold and heartless…”

Heaton took a glance at her and said, “Then, why did you tell Serene that news too?”

“... Cough, cough.”

After Serene was done with work at her hospital, her mind was completely focused on Wilson leaving North City tonight.

Since he was leaving North City tonight, would he be returning to Italy or would he be looking for Ruby?

More questions sparked in her mind. However, she felt frustrated from her inability to answer them.

Serene took a glance at the time, called a cab and decided to give Wilson a chance.

It was already 7 p.m. when she arrived at the hospital.

When Serene entered Wilson’s room, she noticed Wilson had already changed and was getting ready to leave.

“You... you’re really leaving?”

Wilson was surprised to see her and there was a shred of joy in his eyes but it was swiftly hidden behind his cold glare as he said, “What are you doing here? Haven’t I told you that we’ve broken up already?”

“I… I just don’t understand. I thought we were…”

Before Serene could finish, Wilson interrupted her by pretending to be really impatient as he said, “What is it that you don’t understand? I’ve already made it very clear. I am bored of you.”

The instant he finished saying that, Wilson strode out of the room. He received a text from Thompson…

“Wilson! Ruby and I will be arriving soon! Hurry up and wait for us on the roof!”

Wilson immediately strode past Serene and headed straight toward the elevator.

After Wilson entered the elevator and just as the elevator doors were closing, he noticed a suspicious person following him. His dark eyes glimmered before hastily pushing the close button while warning Serene with a cold tone, “Don’t follow me.”
