Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 600

The undercover guards surrounded Wilson and Serene. It was extremely difficult for them to escape.

Stephen was calm as always. “I trained you from the beginning to be my worthy opponent but I soon discovered that the more you grew up, the more your looks and character became similar to your father’s.”

“My father?” Wilson lost his father when he was five years old but he never knew what his father worked as and why his mother was gunned down after his father passed away.

He was brought to Stephen and raised by him since he was five years old.

Wilson was grateful toward this adoptive father of his. If it was not for Stephen, he would have died from those gunshots long ago.

“My father was from the Light Organization?”

Stephen recalled what happened years ago and said, “Your father was the chief of the undercover guards. All the undercover guards that he led were loyal to him. Your family had very good management skills and he had the characteristics of a leader. Years ago, the position of the chief of undercover guards was much higher than the position of the leader today. He was considered the deputy leader of the organization. Your father, Hudson Jarret, was my brother.”

Wilson’s eyes darkened. He had heard about all of this previously but he did not know that the deputy leader was his father…

“You were the one who sent people to kill my father?”

“That’s correct. Your father betrayed me and the organization together with 50 of his loyal assassins. Your father deserved to die!”

Anger burnt in Wilson’s eyes and he asked hoarsely, “What did my father do wrong that you needed to do that to him?! You didn’t even let my mother go! But since you wanted to kill everyone, why didn’t you kill me too?”

Stephen looked at him and smiled indifferently. “Hudson’s son was useful to me even if he only inherited half of his bloodline. If this person could be trained by me and become my follower, this small potential risk is nothing. Apart from that, you proved me right. These few years, you had become my useful fighter and helped me clear many of my obstructions.”

Wilson balled up his hands into tight fists. He amassed a huge amount of energy and it was as if he was about to attack the next second.

He stared at Stephen with anger and hatred and asked, “Weren’t you afraid that I would take revenge after I knew the truth?”

“Aret, look. Even though you know that I’m the person who killed your father, you won’t be able to do anything to me. You’re the fish on my cutting board and I can do anything to you.”

“Stephen, we’ll end this here and now.”

The undercover guards that surrounded Wilson immediately got ready, raised their guns and pointed it at him. They were ready to shoot him.

Suddenly, a loud humming noise came from the sky. A long ladder was released from the fighter plane.

Ruby crouched on the fighter plane, shot at the enemies below and dropped several smoke bombs.

“Wilson, quick!”

Wilson tied Serene onto his back and quickly climbed up the ladder.

The smoke bomb soon dispersed and the undercover guards continued shooting at the fighter plane. However, the plane soon disappeared into the clouds.

The corners of Stephen’s mouth curled up as he saw the leaving plane.

“Leader, do we need to send planes out to hunt those traitors down?”

Stephen raised his hand and ordered them, “There’s no need for that. We might not be able to catch up with them if we chase after them now. We just need to wait here.”

Wilson would definitely come back and get his revenge.

Ruby scolded him when they were on the jet. “Wilson, are you crazy? Do you know that you might die under those circumstances if Thompson and I did not go and save you?”

Wilson was very worried as he looked at the passed out Serene in his arms. “I don’t have so much patience to continue waiting around. It had only been a few days and Stephen had already tortured Serene to this state. Serene might have died if we went a day later.”
