Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 616

Wilson made sausage fried noodles, chicken soup, and two more dishes for their lunch.

Serene popped into the kitchen when she smelled the aroma of the dishes. "It smells so good! Why did you cook so much? We won't be able to finish it!"

As Wilson served the soup in a clay pot, he said, "You just got home from the hospital, so your body is still frail. I shall make more nutritious food to nurse you back to health."

Serene flexed her biceps, and then she pinched them. She said, "But I feel good and healthy. You cooked so much food; are you trying to make me fat?"

"You're so thin! A petite body like yours? Adding a few more pounds won't hurt."

Wilson served Serene some soup. He said, "How does it taste?"

Serene took a few mouthfuls and said, "Wilson, you are a great chef! Let's open a restaurant when we get back to North City!"

"We can do it if you so wish."

Serene did not wait any longer to dive into the noodles; she said with a mouthful, "These fried noodles are so much better than the ones I had when I was in college. What did I do in my past life to deserve such a great husband like you?"

Wilson was slightly stunned. "A great husband?"

Serene blushed. She realized that she had accidentally called him husband, so she changed the subject. "Let's eat; eat while it's still hot!"

Wilson looked at her and felt content.

After lunch, Serene was about to help Wilson with the dishes when he stopped her. He pulled her to the couch and said, "Watch some TB, or go take a nap."

"But I just ate! Wilson, you made lunch. It's only fair that I help you with the dishes. Otherwise, it'll seem like I'm a parasite."

"There's nothing wrong with being a parasite! Good girl."

Wilson left to do the dishes.

Serene hugged a pillow as she watched television. She occasionally turned to see Wilson in the kitchen. She was so in love. The man was tall and handsome, and his hobbies were her and house chores—she had hit the jackpot.

Wilson did the dishes quickly. He finished up, poured a glass of water, and joined Serene on the couch.
