Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 646

As Serene held onto that necklace, she frowned suddenly and said, “Then wouldn’t that allow you to know where I am all the time?”

Wilson stared at her odd behavior and obviously knew what she was thinking so he said, “Of course. Or else, what is a tracking device good for anyway?”

Serene mumbled, “What if I suddenly feel like looking for a younger man?”

“What are you talking about?” Wilson held onto the woman’s tiny waist with his huge hand tightly before continuing, “Why do you need to look for a younger man when you already have me?”

Serene frantically raised her little head as she stared at him while giggling. She said, “... I was just joking.”

Oh, that was right, she nearly forgot something important!

Serene reached out and hugged Wilson’s neck with her little arms and said, “I have a surprise for you, Wilson.”

“Hm? What surprise?”

Serene inched next to Wilson’s ear while covering his ears with her little hand. She whispered, “I think I’m pregnant again.”

… That revelation was followed by a brief moment of silence and shock.

When Serene noticed how stunned Wilson looked as she waved her little hands in front of Wilson’s face and asked, “What’s wrong, Wilson?”

Was he unhappy about her being pregnant again?

However, she did not expect Wilson would hug her waist tightly and stared intensely at her with his dark eyes as he said, “Babe, could you repeat what you said?”

“I… I said, I think I’m pregnant again.” Serene stared at him with a puzzled look before asking him in a distraught tone, “Wilson, are you not ready to be a father yet?”

Wilson’s eyes twitched subtly while his huge hands that were hugging her shook slightly.

How could he not be ready to be a father yet? His reaction was not due to him being unprepared, but it was because he was too emotional…

The man immediately carried Serene and sat her on his lap while carefully caressing Serene’s flat little belly with his huge hand. He said, “This time, I will protect both you and our son.”

Serene teased him intentionally when she noticed how anxious he seemed, “Hmph. How do you know our child is a son? What if it turns out to be a daughter? What’s the matter? Do you prefer sons over daughters?”

Wilson’s gaze looked very gentle and loving after hearing that remark from her. He then stared at his wife and said, “I actually prefer daughters over sons.”

He wanted nothing more than for Serene to give birth to a daughter that resembled her. That way, she would be able to leave behind her legacy in this world. He would also be able to give both the mother and daughter more love and compassion.

Serene scoffed as she got down from his lap. She mumbled while pouring herself a glass of water, “How can you love your children differently when the child isn’t even born yet? Wouldn’t I be bored to death if you spend all of your time with our child after our child is born?”

Wilson chuckled before getting up and approaching her from behind. He hugged her little waist and said, “You will still be the person I love the most even after our child is born. So, how could you possibly be bored when I’m constantly keeping you company?”

Serene winked at him with her beady eyes before saying, “But I have a job and you will be staying at home all day. I don’t think I’m going to be the one who feel bored now, right?”

Wilson’s gaze dimmed when she brought that up. He said, “Babe, we… can you resign from your job and focus on taking care of your pregnancy at home?”

“But I’m quite happy at work though. Not to mention, Stephen is already dead so no one will be able to bring us any sort of harm.”

“I’m just worried as the hospital is riddled with all kinds of pathogens and you’d be in contact with so many patients. What if something were to happen to you? I’d be worried, you know.”

After some thought, Serene turned around and made an agreement with Wilson, “Why don’t we do it this way. Can I resign from my work during my later term of pregnancy? Besides, I’m still early into my pregnancy and my belly isn’t that obvious at the moment.”

“But the first three months of a pregnancy is very crucial. Not to mention, you’re hypoglycemic and if anything were to happen to you in the hospital, I can do nothing but worry.”

Serene puffed up her little face, lowered her eyes and mumbled depressingly, “But I’d be bored to death if I’m at home all day.”

Wilson replied patiently, “I can have fun with you out there everyday.”
