Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 659

When Wilson took a shower, Serene fished her old phone from high school.

It took awhile for it to turn on as it was quite ancient. There was an unread message. [Serene, let's get into the same university.]

Then, she put the phone back into the drawer.

When Wilson was done, Serene was already under the blankets. He got into bed and spooned her.

"Are you not taking a shower?"

"I'm cold. I'll stay filthy for another few days."

Wilson did not force her to take a shower. The heater there was weak, and there was not enough hot water, as well. If she caught a cold, it would be bad for her and the baby.

"Sure, take one when we get back."

Serene's back was toward him as he cuddled her; she closed her eyes and said, "Wilson, it was definitely fate that we met."

"Why do you suddenly say that?"

"Well, I've met so many people, and you're the only one who became my husband. If it was not fate, then what was it?"

Even if she had seen Marcus' message and gone to the same university as him, Serene was not even sure who she would ultimately choose.

Wilson kissed her and said softly, "We'd still meet, and you'd still be mine."

She turned around and looked at him, "You're sure about that? How would you know no one else would pursue me?"

"Like who? Marcus?"

"..."

Wilson hugged her tighter. He looked at her with a gentle gaze and said, "Next time, do not help other men, other than me."

"What do you mean?"

"Do not pity them; pity me instead."

"..."

When she saved him, she had indirectly caused their relationship and marriage to happen.

Wilson could see that Marcus liked her, too; it was also because Serene had saved him when he was at his lowest point. Wilson knew that Serene was beautiful. It was a good thing that she would never overthink stuff like relationships. Once she had chosen him, she would stick with him through everything.
