Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 676

Yanni was already yanked out of the bed before he could react to why Lucy slapped him.

“Yanni Quain! Get the hell out!”

Lucy furiously hit Yanni with a pillow.

Although Yanni loved Lucy, upon seeing how Lucy wanted to argue with him so violently for the child she had with River, the fury Yanni felt in his heart could not be contained.

Yanni did not dodge as Lucy’s pillow connected on his face and he fell to the ground.

The man stared at her with an extremely cold gaze as he said, “You’re so desperate in protecting that man’s seed. However, did he come to your aid when you encountered an incident in the mountains? Did he even show up to find you? That man kept rambling about how much he loves and cares about you but he never ever cared for you even the slightest!”

Lucy glared back at him with a furious gaze as she exclaimed, “Yanni Quain, you massive fool! What does this entire incident have anything to do with River?”

Lucy took a deep breath and said, “I can understand why he didn’t come for me in the mountains.”

Yanni gritted his teeth and cursed as he thought just how much could this woman even care about that man to tolerate him to such an extent?

The man’s handsome face looked obviously annoyed and frustrated as he questioned, “What exactly are we now, Lucy?”

Since she could not let go of River, why did she still behave like she cared about him earlier? She even made Yanni assume they had already reconciled.

Lucy found this man naive and innocent when it came to relationships the instant she heard that question. She asked in a funny yet furious manner, “Do you think I’m a woman that’s capable of cheating?”

Yanni frowned while a furious and annoyed glint flashed across his eyes. He felt helpless so he instinctively reached for a cigarette from his pocket. However, his pockets were empty and since he was unable to vent his frustrations, his heart grew even more frustrated.

Both Lucy and Yanni remained silent for about five minutes as none were willing to speak to each other.

Lucy sat up on the bed and wrapped the covers around his body, bit her lips and finally broke the silence, “Am I really such an easy woman in your heart?”

Yanni was speechless.

He raised his brows while a dim glimmer of surprise flashed across his eyes. However, due to him still being consumed by rage, he could not think rationally as he asked, “What are you trying to say?”

Lucy stared directly at him with her beady eyes and after realizing Yanni was not looking at her, she suddenly ordered, “Look at me, Yanni Quain.”

Yanni was speechless.

This was the first time he was ordered around by a woman.

However, the man still reluctantly obeyed.

Lucy seemed satisfied. Hence, two pairs of eyes met as she told him while staring at him, “Why won’t you ask me how long was I pregnant for?”

Yanni was stunned and his heart raced. The man then stared intensely at Lucy’s slightly protruding little belly as his throat twitched. He asked in a whisper, “How… How many months is it now?”

“Six months.”

Six months…

The last time he was intimate with Lucy was January of this year and it was close to Chinese New Year then. However, Lucy still left in the end. If he counted from then to July that was just around the corner now… that would amount to exactly six months.

Yanni’s heart trembled violently.

Hence, the child in Lucy’s belly… belonged to him…?!

Upon noticing his silence and how odd he seemed as he sat there, Lucy said with a frown, “Yanni Quain, do you think that I’m the kind of woman who would sleep with another man the instant I was done sleeping with you?”

Suddenly, Yanni got up and strode over to Lucy. Glints of excitement and joy could be seen from the bottom of his eyes as he asked, “So, I am the father of this child?”

Lucy bit her lips and seemed slightly furious as she questioned, “You don’t believe me?”

He actually dared question her.

Yanni seemed a little frantic as he sat beside Lucy and immediately hugged her. He was tongue-tied from being too happy. He stuttered, “Lucy, that’s not what I meant. I was just… I was just too happy. You were throwing a tantrum at me back then and even asked Aunt Yen for morning after pills so I thought you don’t want a child with me so… I acted too foolishly. Goodness me, why haven’t I ever considered such a possibility? Maybe I was a blind fool.”

Lucy listened to him stutter and in all honesty, this was the first time Lucy had ever seen him so tongue-tied from being so emotional.

Lucy’s expression was still cold as she said, “Don’t touch me, I still haven’t forgiven you yet. I initially didn’t want to tell you about this since I wanted to see how long it’ll take for you to realize this. That way, you’ll regret your entire life.”
