Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 686

Serene patted Little Jelly Bean’s face and said, “That’s right, Jelly Bean. So, do you want to be my future daughter-in-law?”

Verian choked on her tea when she heard that.

She never expected Little Jelly Bean to be so popular. Not only did the Gaunt family want Little Jelly Bean to be their daughter-in-law, but even Serene was also after her now…

Verian immediately hugged Little Jelly Bean into her arms in a very protective manner as she spoke in a serious tone, “Our Jelly Bean is still so young and doesn’t want to think about marriage so soon. Besides, how old is your baby anyway? Would he even be willing to accept Jelly Bean as his wife?”

Serene scoffed and said, ”Fine then. I’ll just ask Jelly Bean if she’s willing or not, so you better shut up now.”

Verian was speechless.

Little Jelly Bean took a glance at Serene before pouting her lips and replying in a serious tone, “Aunty Serene, although I like you very much, I’m just not into younger guys.”

Serene covered her face and exclaimed, “Oh lord, my heart is now shattered completely.”

What was wrong with dating someone younger! They would look so adorable together!

Verian gave a thumbs up to her daughter’s reply. She answered perfectly well.

Both Heaton and Wilson came downstairs together and were eavesdropping on the women’s conversation.

Heaton gave his wife and daughter a very loving look as he spoke with a gentle smile, “I’m planning to raise our Jelly Bean till she’s thirty. It won’t be too late when she marries someone then since she’ll be a lot more mature. If she isn’t planning on marrying anyone, I don’t mind taking care of her beyond that as well.”

Verian snapped back at him. “Wouldn’t she be an old lady if she isn’t married by thirty?”

“What do you mean an old lady? Our Jelly Bean will forever be a little princess.”

Verian muttered in her heart, ‘Oh boy, this man sure is a slave to his daughter.’

The instant Wilson came downstairs, the little toddler rushed over and hugged his leg while mumbling incoherently, “Dada… Cuddles! Cuddles!”

The adults smiled as they watched the scene in front of them. Wilson’s heart melted at the sight as he carried his son above his head and said, “Is it high enough for you?”

“High!”

Harrison coldly exclaimed, “Daddy, you only hug my mother and sister. You never hug me.”

It was only then that Heaton realized it was true. He raised his brows and questioned him, “Really now?”

“Yeah.”

Heaton then opened up his arms and gave a warm compassionate look to his son as he said, “Come on son, give daddy a hug.”

Harrison held onto his forehead and said, “You know what, forget it, dad. You’re not the same person that I’ve always known you to be.”

Heaton was speechless.

Everyone soon made their way to the hotel.

Ruby was late. The party had already started.

The instant Ruby arrived, the toddler immediately struggled out of Serene’s arms and open his own to Ruby while saying, “Cuddles!”

Serene responded, “... You little brat, how could you forget about your own mother the instant you lay your eyes upon a beautiful woman!”

Ruby accepted the toddler from Serene’s arms as he hugged Ruby’s neck while giving her a kiss on the face and saying, “Aunty! Pretty!”

Ruby laughed as she praised him, “Oh, you have such a sweet tongue.”

Wilson came over to her the moment she was seated. He suddenly asked, “Blaine didn’t come with you?”

A cold glint flashed across Ruby’s eyes at the mention of Blaine’s name. She exclaimed, “We’ve broken up already so don’t ever mention that person’s name in front of me again.”

After Ruby said that, Wilson raised his head and noticed a man who seemed lost standing by the entrance.

Wilson waved at the man and said, “Over here, Blaine!”
