Blaine stared at her for a whole minute before speaking in such a cold tone, “So you’ll still disgrace yourself by holding onto your feelings for White Wolf even though he already has a child?”
Disgrace.
Anyone could call her disgraceful. However, Blaine was the only person unworthy of calling her that!
He had a severe injury during a mission in A Country. She was the only one who risked her own life to save him. However, when he woke up the next day, he was hugging Cindy and kept rambling about how it was Softie who took care of him the entire night.
Ruby did not want to be a jealous woman nor was she someone who was easily envious. However, every time Blaine agitated her, he would cling to Cindy. This made her wonder if she was merely used as a tool to further his relationship with Softie.
Ruby gulped, squeezing her palms as she furiously stared at Blaine before clearly exclaiming to him. “Even if Wilson is married and has kids, even if he doesn’t love me, I’ll only love him in my entire lifetime. Director Frost Blade, now that you’ve gotten your answer, can you release me now?”
Blaine immediately pushed her out of his arms. This caused Ruby to lose her balance and stumble a few steps backward.
Blaine withdrew his cold demeanor and walked to his car. When he was about to open the door and enter the car, the man spoke in a really sinister tone, “Ruby Luna, don’t ever beg me for anything else the next time we meet.”
Ruby was unfazed as she laughed. She then said, “If it wasn’t for our missions, I don’t think our paths will ever cross again.”
Blaine entered his car with his long legs and immediately floored the gas pedal. He disappeared in a trail of black smoke in front of her eyes.
Ruby teared up slightly as she stared at the disappearing black car.
By the end of the day, she was still human. During the hundred days they spent together, Blaine would call out Softie’s name every night he went to sleep.
She only learned of Softie’s existence from Cindy. It seemed that Softie was a woman Blaine could not get over in his lifetime.
