Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 721

Holding a miniature bomb in her hand, Ruby was stunned. She was frozen to the spot as her expression started to change.

Blaine was standing not far away and had a cigarette in his mouth as he played with the lighter in his hands. He kept flicking and releasing the ignition button as the flames lit up and died down right after.

The man observed her with his dark yet sharp eyes when the lighter lit up.

For some reason, Ruby started to panic.

They were standing not far away from each other. Ruby was standing with her back slightly turned toward Blaine. Sweat trickled down her forehead as she grabbed the miniature bomb. She breathed in and faced him calmly.

It was a critical moment and yet, she still had to plead with him. “Master Blaine, are you pulling my leg? I’m quite terrified right now!”

Blaine’s lips curled upward slightly as he walked toward her. The lighter clicked again and her face lit up in the darkness. He looked at her with a teasing look.

Blaine grabbed her tiny hands and felt how clammy they were. He teased her, “Softie, you’re very nervous.”

Ruby rolled her eyes secretly as she thought to herself, ‘Who wouldn’t be nervous when they have an activated bomb in their hand? Blaine’s sick!’

Blaine lit up the lighter with his other hand and walked closer to Ruby.

Ruby’s thick lashes trembled slightly. “Master Blaine, you’re playing with fire.”

It was extremely dangerous to bring a bomb and a lighter so close together.

Even the slightest spark could wipe the place out and burn them to a crisp.

Blaine was still in the mood to tease the woman in his embrace even during such a dangerous moment. It was quite rare to see the little fox all frightened. Her face was pale.

Click.

The flame vanished.

Blaine reached out and took the bomb away from her hand. Tainted with the smell of tobacco, his lips approached her ear as he spoke in a deep and magnetic voice, “I just wanted to mess with you but it seems like you’re in shock. Anyway, it’s fun being able to see this side of you.”

Ruby was speechless.

Her lips twitched as her rage began to rise within her.

Mess with her? It was a joke? A lighter and a bomb?

She was nearly incinerated!

Her hands hung stiff next to her body, trembling slightly.

Blaine’s tone and probing eyes seemed to suggest that he wanted to crush a prey he had just captured.

Even though she was a well-trained spy, she was still afraid of facing death. After all, she was just an 18-year-old girl.

He held her soft hand with his large and calloused one.

Ruby let out a sigh of relief and said in a slightly aggrieved tone, “Master Blaine, please don’t joke around with me like that ever again. You might really scare people to death.”

Blaine let out a faint laugh and said, “Alright, I won’t scare you anymore.”

Night arrived and they stayed at the house in the cave.

Ruby still felt curious about the cave. After all, it looked like a mini-mansion that had basically everything one needed. Even the bathing area was actually a running water spa. It was a place built for the wealthy.
