Ruby slept very well that night.

Ruby stretched and grabbed a white shirt Blaine left behind, putting it on. She also wore her denim shorts with it before walking out of the cave.

Blaine let out a faint hum. He knew that she was simply flattering him but he still liked it.

He grilled the fish on a grill basket. Sizzling sounds filled the air and soon after, a waft of aroma penetrated Ruby’s nostrils.

“It smells so nice. Master Blaine, you’re so good at grilling fish.”

Blaine answered confidently, “We won’t be able to survive by eating only dry food and compressed biscuits when we’re carrying out missions, especially in places like the forest and the sea. Therefore, we ate grilled fish the most.”

When it was done cooking, Blaine handed the fish to the woman leaning against his shoulder, “Try it.”

Ruby praised him while she munched on the savory grilled fish. “Your skills in grilling fish is as good as they say. However…we’ll be here for a few days. Don’t tell me we’ll be having grilled fish for three meals a day.”

“Of course not. There’s other food in the cave. Besides that, there are also lots of wild vegetables and fruits in Easthill Valley. Let’s go pick some later.”
