Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 726

At the dining table, early in the morning.

Blaine and Ruby were facing each other as they ate.

Blaine asked, “Did you have a nightmare last night?”

Ruby’s hands that were holding onto her knife and fork paused as she said, “No. Why are you asking?”

Blaine looked up at her and said, “Then why did you cry last night?”

“Really now?” Ruby shoved some of her poached egg into her mouth with her fork, playing dumb.

Blaine nodded and said, “You were hugging me in the middle of the night and also apologizing repeatedly to me.”

Based on her personality, it was practically impossible that she would have apologized to anyone in her sleep. Therefore, she put her cutlery down and looked straight at Blaine while resting her chin on one palm and said, “Yeah, I was dreaming last night but it wasn’t a nightmare, I dreamed that I recovered my memories and due to some special reasons, I had to leave you. I was only crying because I can’t bear to leave you.”

Blaine chuckled. It was uncertain if he bought the story or not as he said, “That’s quite the dream you had.”

“Yeah.”

The truth was that she was only spinning a really whacky story and had completely forgotten about what exactly she had dreamt about last night.

Blaine whispered, “However, I won’t allow that to happen. You’ll still belong to me even if you’ve recovered your memories.”

In that moment, she wanted her amnesia to be real too. However, it was fake so she would have to leave when the Light Organization began to plan their next move.

When Ruby walked by Blaine’s study, she could hear Blaine yelling at someone.

She frowned slightly as she wondered if something had happened. ‘Blaine has stayed in his study for the entire day.’

When Ruby was done with her shower at night and had just exited the washroom, Blaine was sitting by the bed and immediately reached out to grab the woman’s slender little wrist.

“I’ll need to take a trip to A Country tomorrow. There’s something I have to take care of.”

Ruby never expected that Blaine would have to leave for work again so soon. She asked, “When are you coming back then?”

“Earliest by a week and latest within the next two. However, I’ll be able to contact you anytime I want this time.”

Somehow, Ruby got the feeling that his trip this time was related to the Light Organization. She was not sure if she was either being too sensitive or her intuition was far too sharp because she could not shake the feeling that the Light Organization would do something in Blaine’s absence in R Country.
