Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 730

Bang!

The back of the car was suddenly being shot at.

Old K who was driving in front could not help but curse. “F*ck! Stephen went back against his words! He actually sent someone to murder you, Master Blaine! Sit tight, Master Blaine and Miss Softie!”

There were several modified sports cars tailing behind the black bulletproof car. Several gunners were standing on the hood of the sports cars and spraying bullets at them from behind without giving them an opening to fight back.

Blaine grabbed onto Ruby’s wrists tightly while staring at her with his warm, burning gaze in the small and tight space of the car. He said, “If you kill me now, you’d be able to restore your status in the Light Organization! Weren’t you supposed to kill me while staying by my side in the first place? Go ahead and pull the trigger! Go ahead, Ruby!”

Ruby’s fingers turned pale from clutching so tightly onto the gun. She gritted her teeth and furiously exclaimed, “You’re mad!”

She suddenly pushed him away, snatched his firearm away, opened the windows, and peeked out with her little body as she started shooting at their killers.

A spray of gunshots could be heard.

“Old K, lower the dividers and hand me the gun!”

The car’s dividers were lowered before Old K threw the firearms to the back seat. Blaine decided to strap the seat belts to his waist and dual-wield his guns. He opened the door and leaned out. With his precise aiming, he killed their relentless pursuers behind them.

Old K took a quick glance from the rearview mirror and started cheering, “Great shot, Master Blaine! We’ll have these trash experience the sheer talent of Master Blaine’s double kill!”

After another shower of gunshots, all three vehicles deployed by the Light Organization were completely destroyed in the midst of a few explosions.

Old K’s car had already arrived at the Coastal Highway.

“Master Blaine, we’re almost to where our chopper is.”

Ruby suddenly ordered in a cold tone, “Stop the car, Old K. I want to get out!”

Old K stuttered, “... Miss Softie, this…”

How could he possibly dare to stop the car without Blaine’s orders?

However, Ruby pointed the gun at Old K and said, “Are you deaf!”

Old K took a cautious glance at Ruby’s menacing expression through the rearview mirror as he thought to himself, ‘Good lord, Miss Softie sure is scary. Why does Master Blaine have such odd taste in women? How could he fall in love with such a dangerously scary woman!’

Blaine raised his arm and immediately snatched the gun away from Ruby’s hand before throwing it out the window.

“Are you mad, Blaine!”

Ruby furiously glared at the man while he met her gaze with the same hostility. He exclaimed, “Yeah, I’ve gone mad and that’s exactly why I’d risk my life to come over to Z Country! It’s because I’ve gone mad that I’ve fallen in love with a spy that ended up betraying me! I’ve gone mad to have willingly given up Easthill Valley, an extremely important traffic route, for a woman that isn’t even worth it!”

Blaine held onto the back of Ruby’s neck and immediately kissed her lips the instant he finished talking.

At first, the woman in his arms was struggling and clawing at him. However, she gradually stopped fighting back. When Blaine paused, he looked at her and noticed her eyes brimming with tears.

Blaine sighed helplessly before hugging her tightly, gently nuzzling up against her ear as he called out to her in a soft whisper, “Softie.”

Ruby was desperately holding back her tears and sobs as she took a deep breath and rested her chin against his back. She finally allowed herself to cry when they were not looking at each other.

“Blaine, I can’t leave with you.”

She did that for both their sakes since they were both from two very different worlds. If they got together, it would result in a brutal bloodbath.

“Why? Are you unable to let go of your status in the Light Organization? Or perhaps, aside from scheming against me, you never once had any feelings toward me when you were by my side?”

Ruby gently pushed him away and stared at him without even blinking as she told him in such a clear manner, “My purpose for staying by your side has always been a scheme against you. If I actually loved you, I wouldn’t have sent those killers after you. If I actually had feelings for you, I would’ve stayed by your side.”

Blaine’s dark eyes looked emotionlessly cold as he stared her right in the eyes and asked, “You had a chance to murder me when we were Easthilll Valley back then. Why did you even bother saving me from the Light Organization?”

“Murdering you back then wasn’t beneficial to the Light Organization. Our main goal is the territory at Easthill Valley. Back then at Easthill Valley, the only reason why the killer opened fire at me was to test how much I meant to you. You willingly took a bullet for me, which was enough to show that you had successfully fallen into our trap, thus allowing us to carry out our next move without a hitch.”
