Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 742

Blaine asked indifferently, “Who were you calling this morning?”

“Nobody in particular. Just… a friend.”

Blaine huffed coldly, “Friend? I can’t believe you have friends.”

Ruby disagreed, “What do you mean? I’m a righteous and loyal person. Why can’t I have friends?”

Blaine walked toward the desk and tapped lightly on the desk. He questioned, “So you weren’t contacting your ex-husband?”

Ruby was startled and thought to herself, ‘Ex-husband?’

She had yet to recall who her ex-husband was and Blaine continued with his eyes squinting at her, “You aren’t answering me. Does that mean you were contacting your ex-husband, huh? White Wolf has a family now and yet you still contacted him. Don’t you have any sense of shame?”

Ruby sprung from the couch and glared at Blaine with her face darkened. In a deep voice, she asked, “Leader Blaine, who do you think you are? Do you think you can criticize who I’m talking to? Besides, you did mention that White Wolf is my ex-husband. How is it shameful to contact my ex-husband?”

Damned Blaine, why would he say such unpleasant words all of a sudden? Ruby was so pissed that after she vented her anger at him, she turned around and stormed out of the room.

Blaine hit the desk with his fist.

Blaine grunted internally, ‘Ex-husband, ex-husband, this damned ex-husband.’

In a private room of a teahouse.

“Mr. Reed, there’s a woman called Ruby Luna by Master Blaine’s side. That woman seems to be a member of the Light Organization. Why would Master Blaine still keep her by his side?”

Paul creased his brows. “What did you say? Blaine is in contact with the members of the Light Organization?”

Cindy nodded and subsequently handed over a photo to Paul. “This is a photo of Ruby Luna. Do you know her?”
