In the study.
Old K took out an intricate little metal box that had an oil painting on it from the safe and handed it over to Ruby.
“Miss Luna, before Master Blaine went to the Western borders, he presumed that there was a possibility of you recovering your memories from ten years ago in his absence. He said we have no right to keep this from you since these memories belong to you.”
“Master Blaine also told me to give you this box. There should be items that belonged to both you and Master Blaine from ten years ago inside.”
Ruby was stunned when she accepted the metal box. “Why… Why don’t I remember anything you guys have told me?”
Old K replied, “I once looked into the matter regarding your memories and found out back then that in order to save Master Blaine and after you fell into the sea, you were rescued by the Light Organization. The Light Organization sealed away the memories you shared with Master Blaine during your coma back then.”
Ruby raised her brows and asked, “They sealed my memories?”
There were only three people in the Light Organization that were considered medical professionals, which were Joan, Wilson, and Thompson.
“However, if you really want to recover those memories, Master Blaine said Nines will be able to help you do so.”
Ruby gritted her teeth, wondering why would Blaine tell her all this only after he left?
If she remained clueless about this matter, she could have already begun her worry-free life today.
Was he hoping that she would come looking for him in order to get the answers she wanted after giving her this information?
She refused to go and find him.
Ruby spoke in a cold tone, “There’s no need for that. I still have matters to take care of so I’ll be off now.”
Upon noticing Ruby hastily leaving with the metal box, Old K frantically asked, “Where are you heading off to, Miss Luna?”
“I’m leaving this place. Weren’t you guys rambling about how Blaine only left for the Western borders because of me? I can’t stay by Blaine’s side due to my identity so now that Blaine isn’t here, no one else will stop me from leaving. I’m doing Director Glaceau and everyone else a favor by leaving, you know.”
Old K was speechless.
Should she not fly to the Western borders to immediately look for Master Blaine after knowing the truth about everything?
Was this woman truly so heartless?
…
Ruby left R Country.
The instant she landed in North City, she gave Wilson a call.
“I’m currently in North City airport, pick me up.”
