Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 756

Ruby was escorted into the base with both arms tied.

Everyone in the base was woken up when an unidentified military aircraft landed in their base. They were all on high alert and assumed an enemy spy had been captured.

Ruby was brought directly to Blaine’s office. Blaine was dressed in casual clothes and was staring at the detained woman with an emotionless expression.

Without saying much, Blaine simply told both guards, “You can leave us now.”

One of the soldiers took a glance at Ruby and felt that something was sketchy with Ruby so he warned Blaine in a concerned tone, “Director, this woman might actually be a spy. You need to stay alert.”

Blaine raised his head slightly and calmly replied, “I know what I’m doing.”

Ruby spoke immediately after both guards left, “Untie me.”

As Blaine stared at her, there was a subtle glint in his eyes but it faded away immediately.

“Why’d you come to the Western borders?”

Ruby chuckled as she looked up with her beady eyes and replied while staring at him, “Why are you asking the obvious, Blaine?”

If he did not want to force her to come over, why would he even bother to have Old K tell her everything about her a decade ago after Blaine left?

Blaine walked over to her and stared intensely at her as he said, “Was it because you missed me that made you want to come over to the Western borders?”

It was true that she had restored every last bit of the memories she shared with him a decade ago. However, now that she was in front of him, she could not bring herself to bluntly admit to him that she missed him.

Ruby looked away and skittishly denied, “I don’t.”

“Why’d you come over then?”
