Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 755

Wilson noticed Serene was leaning against the door as she tried to eavesdrop the instant he exited the room. She looked like a criminal.

Wilson grabbed the back of his wife’s collar and brought her downstairs as if he was holding onto a small chicken.

Serene curiously asked, “What did you guys talk about in the study earlier?”

“Nothing important.”

“Then why is Ruby alone in the study as if some sort of huge revelation has been revealed to her?”

Wilson lowered his head and stared at her adorable little face before intentionally teasing her by whispering into her ear, “Maybe she’s thinking if she should kidnap your husband away or not.”

The instant she heard that, she immediately crossed her arms and exclaimed, “Keep dreaming! If she dares kidnap you, I’ll fight her!”

Wilson chuckled as he stared at her arrogant little face and said, “How are you planning to fight her? Have you forgotten that she has a gun with her?”

“I… I’ll desperately cling onto her legs to stop her from leaving!”

“Oh babe, you won’t last longer than three seconds.”

Serene pouted her lips and hugged Wilson’s waist immediately before saying, “I won’t let her take you away!”

Wilson reached out and patted the woman’s little head that was buried in his chest as he said, “Oh you, she won’t be able to take me away. Besides, I wouldn’t even leave with her.”

Ruby spent about half an hour reflecting on everything in the study.

She did not even step out of the room once.

Serene would sneak a couple of glances at the study every once in a while.

“What’s up with Ruby? She’s not gonna do anything stupid in there, right?”

“She’s thinking about some things. She’ll be fine soon. Don’t worry.”

In the study.

Ruby was staring at that little metal box that had an oil painting on it. She reached out and opened it.

There was a picture of her and Blaine together. She noticed a timestamp at the bottom right corner of the picture. It was taken ten years ago.

The woman in the picture looked innocent. Although she was naturally quite beautiful, she still seemed a little childish. She was leaning her head against the young and handsome man’s shoulder in the picture. She had quite the cunning smile.

The man was not as reserved as he was ten years ago. He looked as elegant and charming as a prince. Anyone would fall for him in an instant.

Ruby ran her fingers across the couple in the picture before taking a deep breath and looking through the other stuff in the box.

There was also a silver pistol. It seemed to be custom made. Its hilt was decorated with small diamonds. The gun was obviously a gift for a woman since it looked very pretty.

It was probably a gift Blaine gave her back then.

There was also an uninteresting-looking wooden comb in the box.

A few strands of hair were caught between its teeth.

She could tell the picture and the pistol were related to her.

Had she used this comb before?

Ruby raised her brows slightly. There was a bullet in the box that had caught her attention.

Why was this single bullet so valuable to be kept in here?

There were plenty of questions in her head. However, her mind was completely empty. The only person who could answer her questions and by default, restore her memories, was none other than Blaine.

However, after learning all of this, she had no idea how she would be able to face Blaine at that moment.

Ruby only came out of the room during dinner.

Wilson and Serene had already prepared dinner downstairs.

Serene wiped her hands and said, “It’s time for dinner, Ruby.”

Ruby glanced coldly at the dining table before speaking to Wilson, “Come up here for a second. There’s something I need to talk to you about.”

Wilson patted Serene’s waist and said, “You can eat with our child first. You don’t have to wait for me.”
