After Blaine hung up the call, he stood in front of the dorm's entrance for a really long time while clutching onto his phone.
After he was done giving orders to everyone, he pushed the door open and strode in.
Ruby was fast asleep as she laid in bed.
Blaine gently walked over to her before sitting next to her and silently staring at her.
Just as the man was about to move her messy hair aside from her face, the woman that was lying on a pillow woke up.
She was rubbing her eyes and it was rare for her to look this confused and she seemed a little adorable as she said, "Are you going to sleep? It's really late now."
Blaine withdrew his compassionate gaze as he stared at her before replying in a cold tone, "No, I still have some work to do."
Just as he was about to get up, the woman beside him suddenly grabbed his arm as she said, "There's something I need to explain to you clearly."
Blaine turned around, pulled her little hands away and said, "You don't need to explain anything. I won't stop you if you want to leave. I'll have someone escort you out of here later."
Ruby was speechless.
She was stunned for a couple of seconds before finally snapping out of her daze.
Blaine was already walking out as Ruby pulled her covers aside, stood on the bed and furiously exclaimed, "Stop right there, Blaine!"
Blaine paused.
Hmph, it seemed when the little cat finally woke up, it transformed into a tigress.
"What do you want?"
Ruby gritted her teeth and ran toward Blaine with bare feet. Although she was significantly shorter than Blaine, she was not weak as she questioned, "What right do you have to assume my marriage to Wilson was legitimate?"
"I'm not interested in knowing your past."
Somehow, Ruby was infuriated by that single calm remark he made.
"If you don't care then why did you get mad about my matters with Wilson earlier this morning then? Explain yourself, Blaine!"
Blaine clenched his fists and all of his pent up anger finally exploded as his dark eyes twitched while he remained silent for a really long time.
The man glared at her with his dark eyes before questioning her clearly, "Explain myself? Explain what exactly? Are you trying to tell me about how you only married Wilson because you loved him or do you want to tell me about how sweet your marriage was with him?"
Ruby pouted her lips, took a deep breath and stared directly into his dark eyes and snapped back at him, "I admit that I had personal feelings when I married him on the basis of work back then. Wilson has always been the only man I pursued before my memories were restored. Look, even before I knew you, before I turned 18, I always thought he would be the only person I love in my lifetime and it doesn't matter to me even if he never reciprocated my feelings."
Blaine dug his fingers into his palms while gritting his teeth harder. He stared at the woman in front of him while desperately holding back his anger.
"Are you done?"
Ruby stared directly at him as she exclaimed, "No, I'm not done."
Blaine was speechless.
A full night of an emergency happening was concerning enough for him and now that Ruby was telling him all of that infuriated him further.
Ruby said, "You once taught Softie what it felt like to be in love. She never had the same feelings from Blaine."
Ruby reached out to grab Blaine's shirt from his waist while her little hands were shaking.
Blaine lowered his gaze and sighed helplessly. However, he still pulled Ruby's hand away as he said, "So what if that's the case? The person I love is Softie, not Ruby."
Ruby was speechless.
Ruby continued even when things had progressed to such an extent, "Aside from me being married to Wilson, we never did anything else. You clearly know that he doesn't love me."
Blaine held back his conflicting feelings as he repressed all of his heavy emotions and said, "I'll have someone send you away later."
Ruby was speechless.
Ruby was a little confused since she had already explained so much to him but how could he act like he was completely unmoved by her?
However, she realized that Blaine's lack of care toward her actually hurt her.
