Cindy was staring at Blaine helplessly with her beady eyes while desperately shaking her head. She said, "It's truly not me, Master Blaine…"
Blaine glared at her with a cold and heartless gaze before pulling her hands off him.
Old K asked, "How should we deal with him?"
"Continue interrogating him."
"Yes, sir."
Cindy reached out to grab Blaine's arm again. However, Blaine once again flung her arm away.
Since Blaine held nothing back on Cindy and she was completely caught off guard by his reaction, his strength in flinging her away was strong and that caused her to fall onto the ground.
"Master Blaine, please listen to me. I really didn't… It wasn't me!"
Blaine lowered his gaze and glared at her. His voice sounded menacingly cold as he said, "You better start praying that she's completely fine. If anything really happens to Softie, I'll bury you with her."
When Cindy heard such heartless statements while she was on the ground, she clenched her fists tightly as her fingertips turned pale. She was fuming with anger and envy.
"Am I really not even a fraction of how much Ruby means to you?"
Blaine had no intention in arguing with her. However, he felt the need to make things clear to her since she was still able to ask such a stupid question when she was only inches away from death.
"You can't ever compare to Softie in my eyes."
Cindy's tears finally trickled down from her bloodshot eyes while she bit her lips and questioned him in a very dissatisfied tone, "Why? How can I not compare to Ruby? Does she even love you as much as I do? Ruby's attitude toward you, Master Blaine is not even serious and she didn't even take you seriously in her heart. If she really likes you, Master Blaine, how could she just watch you destroy your future just for her? Does it even hurt her to watch you get deployed to the borders for her sake?"
Blaine grinned and replied with a care-free tone, "This is between me and her so does it really concern you?"
Cindy was speechless.
Cindy gritted her teeth as she dissolved into a puddle of tears. However, she was unable to utter a single word of rebuttal against Blaine.
A relationship was all about tolerating each other. However, she realized that she turned out to be the biggest loser in this relationship since her name was not even worthy to mention.
…
Blaine brought his men along to rush to M Country through the night.
However, he received a phone call from Old K as soon as he arrived at Fame City.
Old K's voice sounded frantic through the phone, "You need to hurry back, Master Blaine. Miss Softie was taken away by the chairman as soon as she arrived at Glacier City!"
Blaine's heart was racing. His emotions felt as if he was on a roller coaster ride.
He was glad that she had returned to Glacier City unharmed but he was also anxious about his father taking her back to the Glaceau family mansion.
"I'll return immediately."
…
Both of them missed each other by a hairline.
Although Blaine was worn out and exhausted when he returned to Glacier City, he still rushed back to Glaceau family mansion immediately without stopping.
The only thing was, as soon as Blaine arrived at the Glaceau family mansion, Ruby was pacing around the courtyard outside. Both of them were stunned for a couple of seconds when Ruby noticed the tall slender looking man.
Due to how long they spent away from each other, feelings of yearning and worry were heavy in their eyes.
Ruby never understood why Serene would give up everything for her feelings toward Wilson back then. However, it seemed Ruby now understood her.
All of her pent up emotions instantly broke out of her.
As their eyes were locked on each other, pure emotions of sincere love could be seen through their eyes.
Blaine stood frozen as he stared at her unscathed body. He felt incredibly happy as he stared at her from a distance.
Although he seemed calm on the surface, his heart was racing anxiously for a few days after learning about what had happened to her.
It seemed him returning to Glacier City without reporting himself would no doubt stir up a massive uproar with the internal management and the elders as they complained to the president.
However, he was in no mood to think or to be bothered by that.
All he could see at this moment was how safe and unharmed Ruby was as she stood in front of him while his emotions calmed down.
Blaine stared at her and called out to her in his hoarse deep voice from travelling for a few nights in a row, "Softie."
Ruby approached him with a smile before immediately burying herself into his arms as she said, "I miss you, Blaine."
